Questions & Answers
Yes, it will work.br>
No, it doesn't come with an applicator, but it's simple to use by squeezing the tube a little on the zippers and snaps, then zipping and snapping the zippers and snaps. It's a great way to make the canvas cover last longer.
On our boat, I haven't noticed any staining caused by this product.

The cover on my truck bed was difficult to unsnap and snap, so I used this lube on all of the snaps, and it made a huge difference in the ease with which I could snap and unsnap the cover. The snaps were too tight to unsnap before I used this lube, and it looked like I was going to tear one out. The snaps are silky smooth and perform better than when they were new after using this lube. In terms of staining, my cover is black, so I didn't see any reason to be concerned. However, if your cover was a lighter color, I could see some staining because it's easy to apply more of this product than is required. To ensure an even coating and reduce waste/mess, I dumped some lube into a plastic cup and applied it with a cheap acid brush.
This product was used to make a snap-on boat cover. It works well and should last at least a couple of years; however, the package arrived empty and appears to have never been sealed. I suppose I'll get my money back. The Amazon representative was completely incomprehensible to me. She didn't speak English in a way that I could comprehend.
I've been using this product for several years and purchased this to replace a portion of a tube I gave to my son for his boat. I use it for boat cover snaps and zippers. It doesn't take much and appears to last a long time; it's pricey, but it does what it claims to do, and a tube should last a long time.
I suppose it's all right. It's difficult to use without staining the cloth where the zipper is. And good luck getting it off your hands if you get it on your hands. The tube presents a problem. Controlling the amount of squeezing out, as well as the flow's direction and spread, is extremely difficult. When finesse isn't required, I'll keep it in the garage to use as a lubricant. I swapped it out for the Chap- Stick to your guns.
This stuff works great; it just leaves a moist stain on any fabric, similar to vaseline, that I'm sure would wash out, but I didn't want to wash the new backpack I used it on. So now I just carry the backpack instead of wearing it to avoid getting this on my clothes. I'm reverting to using wax-based products.
This product is great for lubricating zippers and conditioning them. However, the applicator could be better.
I purchased this for the stated purpose, and it performs admirably, but I'm now using it for a variety of other tasks aboard that benefit from a "clean" lubricant. It's extremely slick and stays put. A medium gel consistency that is too thick to work into tight spaces unless they can slide together (such as zippers and snaps). Works wonders on drawer slides, cabinet catches, and even wooden furniture. contact surfaces made of wood Exactly what I needed. For reserve, I'm placing another order.
15-year-old product that is excellent and worth it. parts that are completely new: buttons, zippers, and so on, and they lasted all season! through the Gulf of Mexico WOW! WOW! WOW! On a ten-year-old, it worked like a charm. (others were 15 years old) isinglass zippers, etc.
