If you want to turn off the color lights, you can do so. its low power output, especially its green light, is rather bright, so if you are sensitive to light, this can be an issue when you're sleeping. Black electrical tape was applied to the bottom of the lid in order to block most of the green light coming through. the job rather than having to return to the store to purchase something more expensive.
There seems to be some confusion about how the functions work. When the green light is pushed once, the mode will be intermittent. Supposed to diffuse 30 seconds on and 30 seconds off and run for up to 6 hours, but mine is still running after 8 hours. It shuts off itself when you almost run out of water. The unit runs continuously for 3 hours then shuts off on its own if the red or continuous button is pushed twice. Mine was started at 1am on green intermittent mode, so 8 hours later it's still running We have been running for 45 years. There are no complaints here at all!
If you want to use water as a humidifier, then just use water. Oils other than essential oil are not included Separately, you will need to purchase those items. Even so, it is worth spending money on the oils.

In addition, I really like this product. The small size is good, but it works well next to my bed and leaves me sleeping more soundly and less bloody noses and light headedness. It does not seem to bother my pets either. I recommend it.
It's that simple. It's an awesome diffuser. It works really well, especially for someone like me who is a beginner. I love how small and simple it is and how it cleans up my entire room at the same time. When I sleep, however, I keep the continuous mode on, so the smell of the space lasts for about six hours. The 30 second burst is great for keeping your space fresh and smelling great throughout the day. All in all, this is a really fantastic diffuser at an affordable price!.

Now they say that the unit should run continuously (red light setting) for about 3 hours and intermittently (green light setting) for about 6 hours. I have run it on the red setting for about 4 hours. As a result, the mist has disappeared and the light has stopped coming on. You can't get any power to it at all. A different brand 2 had been purchased by me in the past I had this one for weeks before getting this one, and it worked well. The powers that be at URPOWER should send me a replacement as soon as possible if I received a dud. I'd like to extend an invite to the following parties.
