I also have a window unit air conditioner set to 70 degrees Fahrenheit in my 12 x 14-foot bedroom, and I read in the manual that how much cold steam/mist comes out on either mist level is dependent on the temperature in the room and humidity. I also bought one for my son's small room because he likes the colors and smells in mine. There are at least seven different types of organic essential oils from which to choose. Yes, lavender can help you relax so that you can get a good night's sleep, but it isn't a magic potion. Bergamot, also known as Ylang Ylang, is a relaxing and soothing essential oil. My diffuser humidifier uses all seven of them. Although, as the manual specifies, you must use at least 8-inch diameter tubing. For a full tank, use ten drops of essential oils. (Two drops per 100ml) At night, if the lights are too bright, I dim them by waiting for the color you want to dim, in my case red, and pressing the light button twice on red. You have the option of dimming any color. Because our house temperature is set at 74 degrees, my son's room does not have a window unit air conditioner; instead, he has our heat pump air conditioner unit outside (Trane unit). His room does not pump out a lot of cold mist/steam on high mist. However, because it's a 500ml essential oil diffuser and humidifier, it produces enough moisture for his room, which is a temperature of 8 to 10. It's very easy to clean, which I appreciate. Every three to five days, I replace the citric acid with clear vinegar. It's affordable and ready to use right out of the box! I don't have to worry about it running out if I leave it on all night! It doesn't have a particularly strong scent. It's perfect! The ability to select my own lighting mode is something I appreciate. I have the option of one, two, or three hours. That's exactly what I'm looking for. It came in a flash. It's a cinch to use my essential oils in this way! Each of my children wants one for their own room! It's far superior to other oil diffusers. Okay, for a humidifier with a plastic casing, this humidifier is far superior to the majority. The other book I purchased was: Avalon A- 1LEDHumidifier (Click here for a link to 1LEDHumidifier. com) It was a shambles. This one is under $25, compared to a $55 piece of junk. So, what are the ins and outs, as well as the advantages and disadvantages? a br>br>WATER RESERVOIR: a br>br>WATER RESERVOIR: a br>b The top comes off, and you fill the bottom with water, just like the Avalon Humidifier. It's simple, with only two pieces: a top and a bottom. However, unlike the Avalon, this humidifier (ASAKUKI) does not accumulate water scum. I won't leave a slimy water residue like the $55 Avalon, which is a huge plus because it's disgusting and difficult to clean. This is easy to clean and does not retain odor, despite the fact that it is made of plastic. Even if you don't refill the humidifier every day or for a few weeks, you won't get a ring of water residue that will disgust you (as is common with cheaper humidifiers). br>br>TIME TO USE: The ASAKUKI is a smaller water reservoir that will most likely last for about six months. You'd think a bigger one would be more powerful (in terms of scent dispersion), but the Avalon literally spit out water, and I couldn't smell any of the essential oils I put in it. Don't be fooled by the petite size. THE LIGHT:BR>BR>THE LIGHT:BR>THE LIGHT:BR>THE LIGHT:BR>THE LIGHT:BR The light has a glow to it and isn't particularly bright. It's a softer light source that won't work for reading or even on cloudy days because you need complete darkness to work. The color lights are fun, but I didn't find it to be practical as a lamp or as the only light source in the room. This is more of a nighttime situation. light. It won't sound like anything, and there won't be any humming. It is extremely quiet, and you will be completely unaware that it is turned on.
