Really, this is a doTerra advertisement. There is a book called Modern Essentials that the company sells (you can order it from Amazon) that explains the purposes of oils, specifically theirs, but in many cases it would apply to generic fragrances, as well (lavender, orange, etc.).

Other doTerra distributors told me not to take his recommendation, but I thought I'd try his product anyway. Don't take any chances. Due to their unpredictable nature, I am hesitant to use them as freely as I would like. We are disappointed!.
The smell and taste of doTERRA Peppermint would have been worth the risk if this were the real thing. That's not the case. A doTERRA diffuser has been used in our office for the past 3 years to diffuse peppermint oil. The smell of this was completely different from the smell of the other. The oil smells sweet and musty, as if it has been diluted with another oil or has went rancid. Angry. I am so By ordering a starter pack from a company with a high rating, we had hoped to avoid any trouble, but it turns out our expectations were off. I learned from this experience.
It seems, however, that there is something wrong with the peppermint oil this time around! I know (based on previous purchase and knowledge of how it should smell) it does not smell the way I expected it to! As much as I love peppermint, I never get tired of the smell. This particular blend smelled so awful that I couldn't even describe it. It smelled like rotten peppermint and immediately made me nauseous. No matter how strong his scent is, I have never felt nauseated by it. My lavender and lemon bottles smell fine and to me they smell normal, so it's not clear if it was a bad bottle. Having recently made a second purchase, I feel extremely disappointed. Due to the fact I had no issues with my first purchase, I'm giving 2 stars.

They were gifted to me previously, but nothing compares to them now. it was not an Amazon gift it was from the official doTERRA website. This did not smell at all like the real thing, so I think it is not the real thing. I therefore speculated that my diffuser may have been broken or in need of replacement. My new one, therefore, was not truly from doTERRA. After using these exact oils, I now know for sure that these products are not true doTERRA. I find it extremely disheartening that businesses on Amazon can claim that their item is the official item of the brand I don't appreciate the use of my Now, I have my essential oil kit in my cabinet under the kitchen sink, of no use to me. The cost of buying all is higher than purchasing all. I highly recommend this kit because it is very economical. It is gross. It smells sour when peppermint is present. There was no scent detected at all in lavender. My wish to return is not possible due to work commitments. The bottle looks old but I am not sure if it is this brand. My recommendation is not to do this. Getting my yoga instruction directly from my instructor is a better idea.
Lavender is what my husband used to heal a blister. It was amazing how quickly it healed. Furthermore, I have taken it to church and when people have too much cologne or perfume on I dab just a tiniest bit on the area between my upper lip and nose, and it instantly solves the issue. Though I am not sure if that was the intended use, hey, works well The three oils provided here are a great way to get acquainted and to find out if you will benefit from them.
