The Elvie breast pump I bought about a week ago has a 24mm flange and I have been using it since then. As a result, I was getting much less milk output, which I thought was a problem with It turned out that I was mistaken. There is an actual draining sensation in my breasts due to these 21mm flanges. You should pay attention to the size of your flange! You need to make sure the size is correct!.
Everything seems to be working. The pump sessions are interrupted by cracks. Their plastic pieces are prone to warping and cracking, so they need to improve their materials.
In my opinion, the company should have the ability to make even smaller shields.
This size shield made pumping much more comfortable for me than the 24mm shield. I love my Elvie pump and this size shield made pumping much more comfortable for me. If this was included with the pump or offered as an option instead of one of the other sizes included, I would highly recommend it.
The Elvie pump I own works great, but these had to be returned. I sterilized them beforehand, but they did not work after that. There's a known issue with this shield (it happened with the one that came with my pump as well). I talked to Elvie support about this. have tried the old-fashioned method of sterilizing (in a pot of boiling water for 5 minutes) as well as using the sterilize setting on my Instant Pot for 5 minutes and both resulted in damage to As a result I am careful to wash the shields in hot soapy water, but I do not like the fact that they cannot.
These flanges made it suitable for smaller breasts. had smaller nipples (the majority of my nipples were 15mm diameter when pregnant, and now they are 19mm. This is a strange body change due to breastfeeding) than the flanges that come with the Elvie (24mm & 32mm The diameter is 28 millimeters). While the BeauGen Cushion flange is actually compatible with the BeauGen cushion, having additional parts to wash and replace is a hassle. Two pairs of the 21mm flanges were purchased and are in excellent working condition. A group of men and I live in a trailer at work without access to With an electronic steam cleaner, these and all the other Elvie parts can easily be cleaned.
I highly recommend it for those who are looking to get an Elvie pump, especially if they are working mothers. It took me just six weeks to recuperate after giving birth to my son at 35 weeks. It was always possible for him to latch, but he was never able to drink steadily for any long period of time, so I have been pumping since the very The Elvie pump is all I use now, and I also have an Ameda Maya pump that I received as part of my insurance, but it's terrible Comparing it to Elvie is like comparing apples with oranges The music is loud, tubes and a lot of noise Despite all the milk containers everywhere, you cannot wash dishes, hold the baby, etc. You may not do anything other than gather milk.
Only three months after I bought my Elvie, I found that it was leaking. The company sent out other replacement parts but not the valves after I called them. However, these valves worked. They worked when the other replacement parts did not. There will be no leaks anymore. In fact, I've purchased a backup set so that if I'm having problems with my new ones, I can just switch out my old ones with my new ones.
There is garbage. As one who knows that it is unethical to even sell such a product because of how poorly it extracts milk, which can lessen your baby's milk supply and/or cause your baby to feel ill, or even make you stop breastfeeding early. It would take my nipples about 1 oz of milk for them to become too sore to tolerate, as compared to 5 that I got with the 5s. Pumps of hospital grade quality such as the Spectra or Medela should provide 6 oz or more. Rather than spend money on an inferior pump, rent a hospital-grade one instead!.
