I can tell, however, that this journal cover is made to last. br>br>I adore the attention to detail and craftsmanship that went into making this journal. Once upon a time, I attempted to create a journal cover - Hobby Lobby's pleather was used. It didn't go as planned. Fine leather, brass buttons, and beautiful stitching are used to create this journal. If you look closely at the stitching, you'll notice some flaws that add character and assure the recipient that it's truly hand-stitched. The pen- In addition, the holder is a nice addition. br>br>A few remarks on the journal cover logistics.
- This is a journal cover, which is fantastic, but don't make the same mistake I did and assume it also includes a Moleskine; otherwise, you'll be running to the nearest Barnes and Noble to fill the journal cover with something.
- The delivery service is excellent! This may or may not be a reflection of the provider, but rather of the shipper. All I have to say is that I ordered a hat from Washington two weeks before ordering this journal, and the journal arrived 12 hours earlier than the hat - It was made in China, no less! Note - I did pay a few dollars more to have it delivered a few days earlier. br>br>I would strongly recommend this product to anyone who appreciates fine journal covers and traditional leather work. I'm pretty sure I'll be purchasing more products from this company in the future! br>br>Recently updated: It's been three months, and the journal is still going strong!.

Please take the time to read through it as it may assist you in making your purchase. br>br>I have nothing but positive things to say about my time with D. M Leather is a company that makes leather goods. I was originally looking for a leather cover for my Moleskine notebook, but I was blown away by the high quality of the leather, button, and thread. I was so impressed with their sewing and style that I decided to look into the rest of their product line; when I say "high quality," I'm not exaggerating; it's an understatement! Regardless of price, I haven't seen this level of quality and consistency in overall workmanship in the United States in a long time. M Leather is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. Aside from the style and craftsmanship, the leather they use is thick, high-grade leather, not the goat or lamb that is commonly used by other companies both within and outside the United States. It's genuine cowhide leather, and it's clear from looking at it and touching it that this type of leather hasn't been specialized in for decades. It's on par with the late 19th and early half of the 20th century in terms of quality – I'm not kidding. The items are identical to those used in the 1930s-era. It's genuine vintage quality from the 1940s, and it's even better than the pictures show! You'll recognize the vintage period quality I'm talking about if you've seen "Raiders of the Lost Ark. " When it comes to customer service, they are "without a doubt" the best, most attentive customer service I have ever encountered on Amazon, or even from brick and mortar stores. Alice Chen and her team have gone above and beyond to ensure that I am completely satisfied with my purchases. br>br>One more thing, and this is crucial: I've asked for specific customizations for various product purchases, and they've been extremely accommodating and open to any ideas I've had, and they've delivered each and every time; in fact, they've communicated via email, sending pictures before finalizing the product to ensure we're both on the same page regarding the customization ideas I've had. They've also made their own suggestions about my ideas in some cases, which have turned out to be better than what I had envisioned! br>br>I went from looking for a high-quality vintage leather cover for my Moleskine notebook to buying: Sleeve for my Macbook Pro, Midori style travel journal cover (end product is very classy), cable management cord organizer for Macbook Pro cabels/accessories, portfolio cover/organizer for notepads, wallet case for my cell phone, pocket size field notes cover, Vintage A5 Agenda Organizer, Passport/Card case cover, Wallet, art pencil/pen pouch, iPad cover, and gifts – ALL EXTREMELY HIGH QUALITY craftsmanship and materials used. I bought this as an early Christmas present for my husband, who had accepted a new position at his workplace. It's exactly as I expected it to be, if not better! The leather is thick but not stiff, and the large moleskine is a perfect fit. It's a stunning work of art. I'm looking forward to seeing how it takes on that wonderful personality that all leather takes on as it's worn and loved. I can't thank DM Leathers enough for going above and beyond my expectations and providing me with such a stunning product; I'm overjoyed! This cover is excellent quality and was purchased for my daily planner. The stitching and workmanship are impeccable. The notebook fits well, and there is a cut in the pocket that holds the back cover of the notebook that allows you to still use the elastic band that comes standard on the moleskine; also, the shipping was extremely fast; it came from China, and I received it only two days after receiving my Amazon Prime items that I ordered the same day. The packaging was also attractive, and a heartfelt thank you note was included. I strongly advise you to do so.

My love got a Father's Day present. Beautiful handcrafted portfolio with excellent quality. That snap was broken, which was disappointing. I contacted the vendor, who responded quickly and agreed to send a replacement snap as well as a repair tool. That is why the craftsmanship rating is four stars. When the repair kit arrives, I'll post an update.
