Well, I drilled a hole in mine and zip tied it to my belt, so I'm not sure if rivets would work, but I believe they would.
I took measurements for you and it will fit a 1 7/8 belt snugly. There's no problem with 1 3/4. 2 inches isn't going to be enough for a top fit. I don't think you'll have a problem if your belt fits through the belt loops on your pants.
You can attach it to your pants with a clip, but it's more effective with a belt.
The clip will accommodate one (1) person. Belts that are 75" in length. 2" is a stretch, but I've given it a lot of thought about how I'd make it work. Thank you for your input - This isn't the first time I've heard something along these lines.
Selected User Reviews For Holstery TapeMaster: The Tactical Tape Measure Holster
I haven't written a product review in a long time, but I felt compelled to do so for several reasons.
- Quality: I'm a union electrician, and this thing delivers whether I'm working 20 feet down in a muddy/dusty trench or 20 feet up in a lift in a new hospital. I put this clip through its paces, and as someone who prides himself on producing high-quality work with his tools for a living, I believe that a product must stand out for me to recommend it. As a union member, I place a high value on Made in the USA, but not at the expense of quality or if a tool cannot perform flawlessly and in all conditions.
- Comfort: This clip is a perfect fit for my belt. The belt clip, on the other hand, performs admirably and is extremely secure while remaining easy to put on and remove. One of the features that drew me in was the ability to slip it on and off without having to loop my belt through it, while still maintaining the same level of security as a clip that does loop through. When strapped into a fall protection harness, I usually wear it to the back of my right hip, but when strapped into a fall protection harness, I will occasionally move it just in front of my hip pocket.
- Ergonomics is a term used to describe how well something works. Because I have a small amount of "overhang" on my belt, I needed a clip that would hold my tape high but not so high that it dug into my hip (I don't like the clips that hang from a strap). This video delivers once more. My tape glides in and out smoothly and comfortably, and the clip itself does not dig in after a long day of work. It's also sturdy enough that it won't fall off if I have to crawl into a crawl space or descend into a trench. At the same time, it's usable enough that if I'm working quickly and sliding my tape on and off of the clip frequently, the clip doesn't get in the way and is always "ready to go. " br>br>When I think of this clip being made, I imagine a man working diligently in his small Idaho shop, handcrafting each clip with a little love and pride. Whether that's the case or not, the clip has a distinct "feel" to it. The design is excellent, and the quality of the construction is exceptional. The construction is excellent. It has the appearance of having been designed and built by someone who knows what makes a clip great vs. that is sufficient This is an excellent choice. br>br>In conclusion, this clip should be purchased with confidence. Know that you're getting a bargain because it's made in the United States and of the high quality you'd hope for and expect; I'm confident you won't be disappointed.
This product had my heart set on it working. Made in the United States of America. Build quality is excellent. It appears to be an interesting design. The bottom of the holster clip and the bottom of the tape measure, however, dig into my hip because of the way this holster attaches to my belt and the way the tape measure attaches low on the holster. It's extremely uneasy! It's just a 2" square piece of kydex with a couple of clips, really. For what you get, it's a bit pricey. br>Every day, I wear and use my tape for ten hours. Because it is a 25', it is neither small nor light. I needed a holster to relieve the strain on my hip and make reloading easier. Easy to holster. The problem was not solved by this product.
This tape holder is in perfect working condition. Even if you wear it above the pocket, its small low profile allows you to get things in and out easily. Because my hand knows where the tape measure goes, I keep mine above my front right pocket. I'm not ripping my pocket open right now, though. Now that I've figured out how to rip out the right pocket, all I have to do is figure out how to keep my left knee from wearing out. It's small, rigid, and thin, and it won't sag or fold as you get older. It's only expensive the first time you use it. It works with all types of clip-on tape measures, with the exception of the type of spring clip used by Fastcap, and it's always right there. The Fastcap tape is a waste of money, but the metric/standard version is provided at work. When I need to convert to metric, I just use my Stanley dual scale. Except for a few projects around the house, I don't use a nail belt as a custom woodworker. But it's mostly clipped to my pocket there as well. It's time to go out and get a second one for the house. These tape clips are truly exceptional. period.
In every way, this is ideal. Since I work in sales and wear dress pants, and the on and off of the tape ruined my leather belts, I was looking for a slim, strong, good-looking tape holster that would prevent wear and tear on my belt. This is perfect!.
This is a fantastic product! br>I work in commercial construction and am a metal installer. As a result, I use my tape on a daily basis for woodwork. I've used Lowes' dreadful magnetic ones. I bought a few from Home Depot and a couple from Amazon. br>I've waited a while so that I can provide an accurate review to any future or prospective buyers. This product is small and light, and once on your hip, you won't even notice it's there unless your tape is hooked on it. This holster eliminates the hassle of trying to hook my tape onto my belt or clip it into my jean pocket. I'm definitely going to buy some more for myself. for my coworkers workers. I've even let some of my coworkers in on the secret. Workers put it on their belts or hips for the day and raved about how convenient it was. The product appears to be extremely well constructed, with a high level of durability. It's also made in the United States, which is a huge plus. Someone who is considering the working person. Overall, I would HIGHLY recommend this product to ANYONE, as I have already done.
The tactical tape measure holster is well-made, long-lasting, and stylish! Using the tape measure holster rather than keeping my tape measure in the pocket of my safety vest or scraping up my belt has been a pleasant change. The workers were immediately enamored with it, and they placed an order for more. "That's an everyday carry right here," as one of my friends who bought one put it. " I have to agree, and on most evenings and weekends when I'm out running errands at Lowe's or Home Depot, it's convenient to grab the tape measure I keep in my truck, holster it, and head in. br>Excellent product that is handcrafted in the United States! Especially for those in the construction trades, this book is a must-read!.
