Having worked in leather myself, I understand how challenging it is. Buying leather goods is the only thing I usually do if I will not be spending time on the item and have never made it myself. As a matter of fact, I am delighted with the quality. While I am not certain whether this item was handmade, if it was, then the person who made it is a great craftsman. The stitching was perfect, and the cuts were perfect. There is a nice thickness to the leather, and the color is right on target. As of now, there have been no issues. On my next camping trip, I'll be taking it out into the woods to break it in.
