The vintage 1916 WWI Service Combat Rosary inspired the WWI Battle Beads Combat Rosary's historical design. Over a century ago, soldiers, sailors, and flying aces were given vintage rosaries as part of the World War I era. Our rosaries are extremely accurate replicas of traditional rosaries. It's beautiful, but it's also built to withstand wartime conditions.
Since 2012, the Rugged Rosaries artisans have been handcrafting these WWI Battle Beads Combat Rosaries in our Texas studio. These are NOT the mass-produced, low-quality knockoffs! Brass ball chains with a gunmetal patina are used. They're tough, non-magnetic, corrosive-free, and heavy. The Our Father beads are a little bigger to help you pray in a more meditative way. The beads are smooth to the touch.
These rosaries are 21 inches long in total. 5 inches. Because these beads do not kink or tangle like ordinary jewelry style rosaries, they can be worn as well as carried in your pocket. The stunning Three Nail Catholic Crucifix is made of the highest quality materials and features incredible detail. It measures 2. The height is 25 inches. The center medal of Our Lady Miraculous is 1 inch in diameter.
For years to come, this sturdy and long-lasting rosary will be a thoughtful and meaningful gift. It comes in a Rugged Rosaries round box that's perfect for gift giving and storage.

Questions & Answers
Is there any way for guys with bigger heads like me to get a longer rope?
Hello, and thank you for contacting me with your inquiry. The loop that will go over your head has a diameter of 25. 75 inches in diameter. This is small enough to fit around most people's heads. We're working on a longer version, but it won't be ready until the end of the year.
What is the distance between the top of the Rosary loop and the Medal if the Rosary is stretched out so that both sides are equal and touching?
The loop is about 26" in diameter, with a 13" measurement from the top of the decades to the centerpiece medal. It'll fit over the majority of people's heads!
Where did this come from?
Handcrafted in the United States of America, in the city of Houston. China produces a large number of knockoffs. Since 2012, these are the genuine originals made in the United States.
Is it possible to carry this in your pocket? How much does a rosary weigh?
It is not a small rosary and has a nice weight to it due to its rugged construction. I would say you can easily carry it in a suit pocket, pant pocket would depend on the pants and pocket size; it is not a small rosary and has a nice weight to it due to its rugged construction. This rosary is beautiful, and I anticipate it lasting a long time.

I didn't like how it made me feel
I have several different sets of Battle Beads made with Stainless Steel Beads from Rugged Rosaries. I knew I was holding something "made for men" as soon as I picked them up (no offense intended to the ladies). The floral battle beads rosary is something I bought for my wife, and she adores it. br>With the Battle Beads in Gun Metal, I was hoping for a similar experience. Unfortunately, while they appear to be well-made and elegant, they are not. I didn't like the feel of the surface (the patina) after it was made. They had a plastic feel to me. They seemed a little cheesy to my wife (ie- "sticky" for example). Again, we're not talking about quality here; we're just talking about how it feels in our hands. br>In the interest of fairness, I'd like to make two points. 1) It's possible that I would have preferred the gun metal version if I hadn't already purchased the stainless steel version to compare it to. 2) The day after Thanksgiving, we went to see an old friend who we hadn't seen in a long time. I felt compelled to give the husband the gun metal rosary (which I just "happened" to have in my car) as we talked about their lives later in the evening. br>He grabbed it and clung to it. I was asked to bless it because I am a Catholic Deacon. As tears welled up in his eyes, he asked his wife if they could pray the Rosary together. Bottom line: If I had to rate these solely on the basis of my tactile perception, I would give them a three or four. However, after seeing how they affect my friend, I give them a five-star rating.

Well-made, attractive, and durable
This is an incredible rosary. I've been wanting a personal rosary for a long time, especially one that wouldn't break or fall apart as easily as wooden rosaries do. This rosary is ideal, as it is both stylish and durable. Not only is it made of metal, but the details on the cross, as well as the overall craftsmanship, make it a lovely rosary that I will treasure for a long time; I have since ordered another of this model as a gift for my brother. I also intend to purchase two more of the WWI model for some friends. br>br>I don't usually write reviews, but I felt compelled to do so for this one. On their website, they also have some lovely rosaries. I'm waiting for a paracord one that I really like to come back into stock. I hope you found this review to be useful! br>br>I've uploaded a few photos, one of which includes my zippo for scale.

This is one tough rosary! This appeals to me because of the military history
Even though the one I got isn't an exact replica of the original (it has a different crucifix than the original, which is actually my favorite-- The story behind it appeals to me as a veteran (AF), so I put it on another rosary about a year ago. I bought one for my father, who is in the Navy, and my son, who is in the Army. I suppose you could abuse it and break it, but this rosary is so much more durable than traditional thin chain rosaries that I believe it will last a lifetime with proper care. It comes highly recommended! br>br>By the way, if authenticity is important to you, the silver version is a more accurate replica of the original, complete with the original Pardon Crucifix. This "nail" crucifix, as well as the gunmetal color, appeal to me. I'm confident that both versions are just as tough.

The Most Beautiful Rosary Beads I've Ever Seen
These World War I Rosary Beads are the most beautiful I've ever seen. They're tough, but they're also simple to use when praying the rosary. They are well worth the money you spend on them. These Rosary Beads mean a lot to me because I'm a Navy Medical Corpsman who served in the Vietnam War. Almost every day, I pray the Holy Rosary with them. I would strongly advise anyone seeking high-quality, long-lasting rosary beads to purchase these beads.

Strong and well-built I made a rosary for spiritual warfare on a daily basis
I have a number of rosaries, including one made of olive wood from the Holy Land and another made of nice glass that I received for my First Communion. None of them, however, can be carried and used on a daily basis without breaking or falling apart due to wear and tear. And, as our Blessed Mother instructed, we should pray the Rosary every day, which may necessitate carrying this spiritual sword with us on our daily journeys. I was looking for a rugged, masculine set of beads when I came across these Rugged Rosaries WWI replicas. br>br>This is a well-written article. A beautiful rosary that is well-made and sturdy without being too heavy. The rosary itself has an Italian flavor to it. with a gunmetal finish on the crucifix The chain that connects the beads is sturdy, and all of the beads swivel, so they won't tangle in your pocket. The beads are perfectly spaced and key-hole-connected to the Miraculous Medal. This rosary is held together by ring type connectors, which prevent it from falling apart. br>br>The rosary is packaged in a carrying case with a screw-on closure. On top of that, there was a small key ring with a wooden cross on it, as well as a few prayer cards. Rugged Rosaries provides excellent customer service: They quickly resolved a problem with my order, and I will gladly purchase more items from them in the future.

Beads with a lot of weight to them
I have the perfect beads for the person I want to give them to. They're better in person than they are online: they're handsome, sturdy, and well-made, and that gun medal is awesome. For my family, I've got four pairs. I create and repair rosaries. These; I don't think I'll ever have to fix them, though. I'm extremely happy. Thank you very much. Thank you for your service to God.

Indeed, the scenery is both lovely and rugged
As stated in the advertisement. This rosary is exceptionally lovely and long-lasting. The gunmetal finish is extremely appealing to me. The crucifix and miraculous medal are both very well-made and detailed. A rosary ring was included as a gift in addition to the small metal container. Because the seller could not ship to my country, I had to use a forwarding courier, but it was well worth it! 👍.
