It is NOT a cover, but it does come on a solid sheet that you simply line up on your mailbox, press down, and rub your hand firmly over the paper to secure the stickers in place, then pull the paper off, leaving the vinyl stickers behind. It's incredibly simple to make and looks fantastic. I promise you will not be sorry.
When applying the decal, be sure to work it into the contours of the mailbox. It should still be able to stick to the mailbox with ease. If you have any additional questions, please contact us directly through Amazon's messaging system.
The majority of vinyl mailboxes have been a huge hit. Each order comes with a practice decal, and if you're having trouble, you can use a clear sealant first.
It's only been a year, but it looks like it was just put on yesterday!

This is a very appealing mailbox addition. My neighbors have already begun to compliment me. I'll admit that it took me about 15 minutes to get it all the way on, so be patient. I would rub and rub, and as I peeled slowly, I could see where a letter or number would not stick; I simply pressed that section flat again, rubbed some more, and it eventually stuck to the mailbox. I can't say how long it'll last because I haven't seen it yet. I'm hoping that rain and snow won't make it sag. I didn't mind paying the price, but if it wore off quickly, I'd be disappointed. Its appearance will not let you down!.
I wiped my new mailbox clean, peeled off the backing, and laid these out on it, pulling off the top layer of paper. Then I rubbed a dry wash cloth over the entire design to smooth it out. circling the entire area in small circles There is ZERO- ZERO, ZERO, ZERO, ZERO, ZERO, I'm having trouble peeling the paper off these to put them in my mailbox. My mailbox is finished on both sides- even the door's phone number This purchase has made me extremely happy. Simply read the instructions if you haven't done so before. It's that easy. Furthermore, it appears to be fantastic. I would strongly suggest it.
If you have no idea what you're doing, it comes with very detailed instructions as well as a generous sample/tester piece. It looks fantastic, and I'm very happy with it! Arrived nearly a week earlier than expected. I haven't put the mailbox outside yet, so I can't comment on the decal's longevity, but I'm very pleased with the appearance, ease of application, and time management provided by the company! I was also pleased that so many characters were permitted — our address is extremely long, and many other companies do not permit as many letters/characters. This is the only company I found that met our requirements in terms of a long address. I like the way it looks, too; it doesn't appear to be too small or crowded. At this point, I'd give it a ten out of ten recommendation; the only thing that could make me change my mind is if it doesn't hold up over time; only time will tell, but I'm optimistic. Thank you very much!.
The decals applied as expected after I followed the instructions. The text appears to be clear and well-sized. At a distance, they're simple to read. I did recut the masking to make it ruler straight so it would be easier to stick on and keep the graphic level. Because the backing paper has grid markings on the back, trimming it was a breeze. They adhered well to a brand new metal mailbox, which I had cleaned and dried prior to use. I'm interested to see how these fare in the weather.
The mailbox was washed and dried right away after being removed from the box. A small (but not insignificant) heart has been applied to the back of the shirt so that it can be seen. Both sides went on very easily, and I peeled off the backing if any of the numbers were not applied (there were only two numbers that were not applied), then I repositioned the paper and rubbed it harder to get it to stick. It was a breeze to come up with the front numbers. br>I went with a black color for a white box, and it turned out great!.
The decal initially stuck to the contact paper, which I was able to remove later. The monogram and detail, on the other hand, were hopeless after applying to the mailbox, smoothing it down, and scraping the crap out of it in an attempt to get it to stick. I had no choice but to remove them and painstakingly apply only the address, which doesn't even match because half of "avenue" was lost on one side, and the letters don't appear to be particularly long- lasting. I'm sure they'll be pulling off in no time if it rains hard enough; I can't believe I spent so much money on this.
It adheres well, but take your time and pull very slowly when using it! WARNING: READ THE INSTRUCTIONS CAREFULLY. It's simple; all you have to do is wait.
It's well worth the small price tag, and it's a fantastic item. It appears to be worth a million dollars. Cleaning the cheapo numbers from the mailbox was the most difficult part. Before attempting to peel the sheet away, make sure the intricate details are rubbed in. No worries if you pull the sheet down from the mailbox rather than straight out. Go slow! Decals may also be pulled off if you peel too quickly.
