Questions & Answers

What is the place of manufacture of the tortilla press?

This beautifully crafted ceramic bowl sits on the counter top in California, USA. I love it because of its aesthetic. I have tested it and it works perfectly!

I would like to order another one and have it engraved for a gift, do you do that?

The idea of engraving it never crossed my mind.

Living in a humid climate is something I'm used to. Is it possible for this press to warp over time?

It is always possible that the product might warp. In general, your press will not warp as long as you oil it regularly and do not expose it to direct sunlight for prolonged periods of time. In order to minimize this risk, our presses are designed in a way that minimizes it.

Do you need to oil the press from time to time and how do you clean it When is it?

The following tips can help you take care of Each time you use it, wipe down the surface with a wet cloth and let it air dry. Ensure it is stored in a dry location. To clean the press, do not use soaps or other chemicals. You should oil the wood at least once a month, or whenever it looks slightly In the event you live in a climate that's very dry, you may need to oil every few weeks. Do not use anything other than mineral oil of the highest quality. Olive oil and canola oil are good examples of vegetable oils that can go rancid and damage • Food grade mineral oil can be purchased at All surfaces must be thoroughly cleaned with the oil, then let them soak in it Clean the area with a dry cloth to remove excess oil

I love it! It's worth EVERY dollar I spent on it, forget about the metallic press you used to own
5/5

To begin with, here are some aesthetic points That's a really cool looking accessory that you would be proud to leave out like a nice accessory because it's that nice! It looks better in person than on the pictures.

Construction/craftsmanship My old metallic one I bought in Mexico decades ago is like night and day compared to this new one. I like the construction and craftsmanship in every way. The woods are smooth and the oil finish is food grade, just perfect. The following functions You can use the old press with virtually no learning curve here if you can use the old press. Use a quart ziploc bag (just cut off the zip top, split the bag on the sides, but do not cut the bottom) and you won't run into any cleaning issues. Unlike a metallic one, you simply do not mash it down. Press the tortilla gently and hold it for a few seconds to get it all the way out. It could be better removing the peel from the zip lock and giving it a try!

What Here are three things you should know. As the wood is oiled now, I think rubber feet would have been better. Rubber feet will be hard to stick since they are drilled into the wood, and I do not want to drill into the floor. As a result, it is under a silicone trivet. This will fix the problem. It is a bolt or a hinge. The truth is I am not sure. I must admit, though, that it ruins it somewhat. Although it functions, it doesn't appear as elegant as it could. Here is a message for the craftsman I hope he will read. Cutting a 1/4 stainless steel rod, tapping it through within a 1/4" on both sides, then tapping in wood plugs like the rest of the screw parts might be an idea. I'll end with one more. Here's the hinge. This is what they do. I like the way it looks. What about the wooden hinges? Would they hold up? Due to the work involved in the jigs and such, it probably would add to the cost. After all, it would look great. Yea, I guess. This is what they do. Apart from that, you see a tortilla press for 70 bucks and ask if it is worth it when my La Victoria works equally well. It's just as good, but not quite as You did a much better job! In the same way that a black-and-white photograph looks I've got a decker blender and a kitchenaid blender. Both make cake batter, but a decker blender is not as cool. When you call the S. , it will respond if you cry loud enough. That's what you need to know. There is no reason to regret it.

This is a great product! It may be difficult to decide on a tortilla press between wood or metal
5/5

That's all there is to it. You can get rid of the wood once you have It took me a bit of courage to eventually spend the money on wood, as I was used to the metal before, but I am now so glad that I am not sure if there are other wood press suppliers. Though I am certain they are wonderful, I can tell you that this seller has been better than I expected. The finish and appearance of this product is exceptional. Your kitchen will definitely benefit from having something like this. This is true for all the edges as well as the lid stop that you see sticking out of the bottom, which is truly a continuation of the bottom and not a separate item. All aspects of its design have been carefully considered to make its function as efficient as possible. There was such an excellent packing job that, barring a catastrophic event, there was no chance of the press being damaged in transit. I'd like to commend the woodworkers on their work. The value you gave was 5 stars since the work you did was excellent.

A handmade item that is beautiful and It's awesome, beautifully made, functional, with wonderful wood and workmanship
5/5

It gets a lot of love from people who see it. It makes a great corn tortilla, and it looks good while it's being made. A bit of care will ensure that it lasts forever. Considering the quality, it's a fair price. I recommend it! I may end up replacing the handle bolt with a sexier piece of hardware if I get really frantic and find a titanium Allen key There must be something to attach the head bolt to It would be over the top if that was the case. The press is otherwise very well made and is perfect in every way. Also nice to have flush plugs around screw holes. It's an excellent tool, and if you can afford it, buy it instead of some cheap aluminum In the long run, nice stuff is a good investment!.

I love it! A flour tortilla really won't work with this
5/5

These instructions say to use a tortilla press to make a round, then use a rolling pin to roll out the tortilla. Then, I press all my tortillas made from einkorn flour between pieces of parchment paper using Once I have four stacked up on the press, I press them My next step is to switch to the thicker side and press once Though it seems like it would take a lot of work, it actually takes less time than rolling a.

I wish I had one of these when I was growing up! Beauty is in the eye of the beholder
5/5

Whenever I am not using it, it is placed on my wood counter. This is a very well-crafted piece of work. It is a nice way to shape the dough, since it is sandwiched between two parchment papers. To make it, I use 1 cup Cassava flour and 1 cup cooked sweet potatoes. We all need a pinch of salt from time to time. When I roll it out with parchment paper and a rolling pin, it is a little thinner than regular bread. Taking it out makes it When I roll it with the rolling pin, the press helps it to flatten evenly. This purchase was a great deal for me.

The product is very nice, very sturdy, and easy to operate
5/5

Taco presses are something I've never tried before, but this one caught my attention due to the unique handling design of the press. I made 8 inch corn taco shells with the handle design and found it to work wonderfully. Using parchment paper and a rolling pin, I put the dough round in between The shell needs to be turned several times in order to get an even surface. By the way, In the – I like the best taco shells when they are freshly made No need to buy them from the store ever It's a great book and I recommend it to everyone You'll love it!.
