When using a pot for cooking, is it a good idea to soak it in water first? The oven temperature you use when cooking is what temperature do you set?

If you plan on soaking the pot before cooking, do not do it. Even though the clay is porous, the moisture contained in the ingredients is more than enough to keep the pot moist while cooking. For the traditional beef and veggies recipe, we recommend that you use a preheated oven at 350F and cook for at least 2 hours. Some cooks like to let the pot rest for a while at a lower temperature afterwards to enhance the slow cooking process.

If you don't break these pots for serving, you can reuse them! They are meant to be broken for serving, but you can use them again if you don't It is wide enough to allow the dish to be poured out simply

My favorite thing about living in the United States was being able to get Testi pots! Breaking the pot at dinner parties is a lot of fun and you get to watch the reactions of people! The next time we host guests, I will order this again. Don't let anything stand in your way- Turkey sent them to you in the real deal. Having a beautiful gift included in the package was definitely a nice touch-.

When I received it, I realized the clay was a very light color, almost off white, so not the color in the picture. However, I still love it. As well as the well packaged item that arrived within the package, I also liked the small evil eye that was included. It would be helpful if the pot came with more information on how to use it. Although I won't be able to follow instructions from the box as I didn't get any instructions. Since it would need to travel over 6000 miles, I contacted the seller before making the purchase. According to him, his work is backed up by his words. The item was intact and appeared to be a fun item to use when preparing meals.

Please be aware that these items can take a long time to ship and clear customs, so do not expect them to arrive in two days. The items arrived in good time considering that they were made in Turkey and shipped from there. These are well made and sturdy, I really like them. My husband and I don't want to break them since they're so nice right now. It has a very sweet taste therefore I used salt to taste, along with some Aleppo chili powder and it came out very good. I also made a simple stew-like dish with stew beef, garlic, onion, and a generous amount of Aleppo powder. The bread dough was used to cover the top.

34 ounces sounds like a lot, as shown in the photo. There are only a few of them. I tend to think of them as soup pots rather than for a dinner party with more than two people. You can fill it up if you want. You can't do it and cook it at the same time. It is very disappointing for me. Originally from France, I now reside in the United States The chef has a trained eye for food.
