The jars have a diameter of 3 3/8" and a wide mouth.
I'm not sure if the readings can be reset to establish a baseline. Here is the reading variance I get after placing all three lids side by side for an overnight period on a dry kitchen counter. My only purpose in propping up the lids was to take pictures. For the past 24 hours, the lids had been sitting flat on the counter. It is understandable if there was a 1 percent variance, but 4 percent is not acceptable The amount of 5% is too high. What should I do if the gauges have to be reset? A Hygrometer's accuracy is too variable otherwise for $100s of dollars of cigars to be trusted.
My skepticism about this product stemmed from the fact that there would be no way to determine whether it was accurate. I found, however, that it showed the same humidity as the Bovida moisture control packs when used in combination with the box. used the same Bovida on the Hi lids, and the readings were the same for 58% and 62%.
The pictures of these may make them look well made, but they perform poorly. These cheap hygrometers are included with a lid and totally Each of the two devices I purchased was at least three times off when I checked their calibration I can understand if you could adjust the calibration, but you aren't able to do that with digital cameras! You need that kind of difference when you have expensive cigars or other items that might be destroyed by the heat. It is possible that I will return them, or they will end up in the garbage.

The lids on these hygrometers look incredibly cool, are very useful, and are very useful! The best recommendation is to do it! The next time I come, I'll definitely come back! 4 of my friends also ordered after I told them about it I've already bought 3 and recommended them to 6 others.
I find that my issue is that I can get more accurate hygrometers and use regular lids at a lower cost. I also like being able to see what the temperature is from the top if the jars are.
I think this is a great invention! I've got some for you.
