Yes, it's perfectly normal. Each tube is poured by hand. To make room for the cap, the excess product is scraped or broken off.

It's something I use at work because I'm a physical therapist assistant. When I go to clean a patient, I'll put some around my nose and in my mask to block out odors. If the patient has an infection, some odors will still get through, but they will be less unpleasant.

I was relieved to be free of my clinic's stinky patients. This was also purchased as a gift for coworkers. Although I wish it lasted a little longer, it is undeniably effective.
The product works, but I don't think menthol is necessary in this stick, which is why I gave it three stars. I don't need the Vick's vaporub's cooling sensation irritating my nosed upper lip; just the odor blocking would have sufficed. I'm not going to place another order.
It smells great, but it doesn't work the way it should. Hold it up to your nose and that's all there is to it.
It smells great and has a menthol-like cooling effect, but it doesn't last long. Maybe a few minutes, but that's all there is to it. I'm a little disappointed.
I don't use it all that often, but when I do, it works well. It has a pleasant scent and is extremely beneficial.
