Are you baffled as to how this could occur?.
Now that I've reached "autumn" in my life, several aspects of myself no longer function as well as they did when I was 18 and "bulletproof. " I used to use my teeth to open beer bottles. Anything tougher than a piece of bubblegum these days is a challenge for me. I'm back on track (though I do get off track now and then). This jerky is not only some of the best I've ever tasted, but it's also tender enough to bite and chew even with my antique choppers. Over the last decade, I've tried a variety of other brands, and the majority of them would make excellent paving stones but not snacks. So there's only one thing I can say: Keep making these "links," Jack, and I'll continue to buy them.
I've seen a lot of bad reviews where people say they got "Moldy Jerky. " I've been buying Jack Link's products for a long time, but it was only recently (late 2018) that I found them on Amazon. I've never received a moldy product, but I do keep mine in the fridge once they arrive, especially after the bag is opened. I used to make all of my own jerky from a variety of meats, and yes, it can go moldy after a while. The types and amounts of ingredients have a big impact on shelf life. I've tried a lot of different brands of jerky, and I've seen them all go moldy at some point in their lives - if the bag had been opened and kept at room temperature for an extended period of time Just thought I'd mention it. In any case, I'm still getting mine from Amazon!.
The jerky itself is of good quality, and anyone who tells you otherwise is probably dealing with personal issues and is so petty that they'll blame even beef jerky for their misery. I've ordered this enough times to warrant a review, and I don't write reviews very often. Furthermore, I've placed orders for a variety of flavors: Original, pepper, and teriyaki Every flavor and order have exceeded my expectations, and I am extremely pleased. Try to get this jerky for less than $16; I've seen it for as little as $12. Get it if the price is right. This jerky is sure to please you.
In total, I placed four orders. There were four 9-ounce packages, two of which were peppered and two of which were plain. They were delicious and fresh, and they were not due to expire for several months. People should be aware that if they order food during the hottest months of the year, the temperatures to which the food is exposed are not always conducive to proper handling and storage. These packages, for example, came from South Florida, and since it's winter, I'm confident they weren't transported in the back of a steaming 18-wheeler. During the summer, this is exactly what happens. They don't fly to the airport, so they are always exposed to the elements, whether or not it was in the air. This is just FOOD FOR THOUGHT.
When I first had beef teriyaki, it had a great first heat and then it was so sweet. . . I order four bags for myself and I order two instead of three.
Jerky in this style is one of my favorites. I didn't eat the entire bag in one sitting, so one bag was sufficient. I, on the other hand, took the second bag that came with my purchase to work. And after opening it and taking two pieces out of the bag before closing it again; Within a week, the jerky had developed mold inside the sealed bag, and it had gone bad. I had to toss it in the trash after that. So I basically paid for one bag of jerky with what I had. Not happy at all!.
I received a half-completed order, with one bag of Original and one bag of Teriyaki flavor. This may appear difficult, but it was accomplished. I've only had Teriyaki once, months ago, to give it a try. I don't like it and have only ordered Original or Peppered since, as evidenced by my Order History, and this order should have been two bags of Original flavor. br>For the record, Teriyaki flavor is edible, but the ends of most pieces are always very hard, making it difficult for me to eat. br>Again, I enjoy and support the product, but I am extremely dissatisfied with QC; this shouldn't have happened, and going downstairs for my mail is difficult for me; I usually pay for assistance, which adds to the inconvenience, which is why I didn't return it.
