Questions & Answers

After picking up the pepperoni old world style at Walmart and opening it, I was blinded by a very strong sulfer/egg odor. The product tends to do this often?

A similar issue has arisen for me as well. During my last trip to the grocery store, I bought mine at a It smells sulfury when getting in contact with Bridgford Old World Pepperoni sticks. I was greeted with a strong rotten egg smell as soon as I cut through the wrapper. However, I tried some and found the taste to be nearly normal, but the odor was really an unpleasant surprise. We're going to have to throw out this $7 stick of pepperoni.

What are the compostable materials?

In short, yes. Incorporate all other ingredients into the pizza and chew thoroughly. Your stomach is the site of composting.

Do you know if it is gluten-free?

The meat is gluten free as far as I can tell, like all meat products outside of the UK. There is no common practice of mixing bread with sausage material in the U.S. "Spices and flavorings" is the only entry on the ingredient list that remains unclear. I found it to be wheat free based on my reaction Wheat is mildly intolerant to me, but it has never caused any symptoms for me. On the Amazon listing you will find zoom photos of the ingredients list from the label.

I just want to make sure, each stick in the pack measures 16 oz. ?

Yes, I see 1 stick very clearly

It's not what you see in the reviews that counts
3/5

It isn't old world quality at all. I give it two stars since the sauce was only spicy enough to be considered a medium spicy sauce and the spices were clearly paprika based. It was, however, evidently mechanically separated from its meat with high pressure steam, and was devoid of any intrinsic meaty flavor (without the smoke and salt, spam would just The mince should be made from scraps of meat that you get from the cheek and other parts of For a sausage to be called sausage, it should be made with this or a higher quality meat. To make matters even worse, the tuna tasting meat was saturated with the lightest fat oils. It is ideal for sausage to be either raw or cooked, cooled then sliced so that the fat and meat are separate. Peperoni that was on sale was more like a cheap fat-saturated jerky than a true salami of this type. While it tasted fermented, I wondered if the process of fermentation is authentic since it lacked the lingering sweetness that comes from a Additionally, one reason it gets two stars is that it tastes better than the peperoni you get from the major pizza vendors, so it is recommended as a way to get a pizza with a peperoni flavor that is more consistent with the peperoni flavor. This peperoni does not belong in the antipasto or pasta of an other Soup might be a good use for this. Based on the reviews, I thought I was getting a great deal on this peperoni. Sadly, there are no world class peperoni to be found The stick you receive is well spiced and tastes great. It tastes better than most things on the shelf in the same price range, but is still made from substandard ingredients that are poorly processed. It's not what you see in the reviews that counts.

I hate this! I advise you not to purchase
3/5

Though I am not an expert on pepperoni, I know what the real thing should taste like. My family and I have been to Italy and I had some of their best pepperoni. I consider this to be something unfit to consume as pepperoni, and therefore, it should not be considered a food. Aside from the cardboard-like consistency, it leaves a bitter taste in your mouth that persists long after you spit it You cannot tell whether it is rancid or past its The whole thing is just terrible. There is no way I would feed this log of toxic waste to my dog. I don't think the manufacturer could have thought of this when they created it.

You made the right decision I love it! There's no such thing as too much of a good thing
5/5

The pepperoni was great. It's amazing how many types and varieties of animals there are You won't be disappointed with this one. There wasn't a lot of oil (not that it was a deterrent - just wish it wasn't so oily) The cure/drying process may not last forever (or at all), but that - indeed - is sort of the point. We eat meat. This is a nice It can be frozen (or, if you want, you can put it into ice) 3 - Freeze Cut the wood into 4-inch pieces - about a third will be used The quantity I ordered was too much for me to consume in one sitting. If you want to freeze a chunk, you need a ziploc type freezer bag, a straw, and the chunk you want Placing the chunk in a bag after wrapping it tightly in Saran is the best way to protect it. Placing the straw inside the bag will prevent spills from occurring Bag must be sealed up from corner to corner, except for the straw. You can use a straw to suck out the air from the bag as much as you can with your exhalation. Make sure that last little corner is sealed as soon as the straw is pulled out. I have to admit that I had to learn it over several tries, but I think it is worth practicing. My pepperoni and sausage chunks were about 3 inches long, so I did this with them Thawing is quick and easy, and neither the texture nor the flavor of the fish is affected. There's a lot of heat in it, which I like.

I tossed this into scrambled eggs (one egg, two whites, and whatever else I could think of). The soups I make are flavorful with it. A turkey sandwich would benefit from the addition. You won't be able to go wrong if the price is the same. It takes only a little to make a big difference! If I were you, I would cut a slab from this and top it with a slab of extra sharp cheddar and a If I were a single person, I would buy one of these a week, but that wouldn't be healthy. Despite the negative reviews, you won't I think the price is good for what you get The food I'm eating now has me hungry.

I was very pleased with the surprise
5/5

The pre-sliced pepperoni I find in the grocery store is only OK tasting so I have been searching for some real old fashioned style pepperoni. Since I have had some Bridgford products in the past and they did not seem to be particularly good, I decided to give this product a try since there have been so many positive reviews. My only regret is that I did not do that sooner. You know this type of pepperoni as the greasy, spicy kind that cups up and gets all crispy at the edges at your neighborhood pizza joint from way back when. adds great flavor to my homemade pizza and really makes it stand out. If you are going to peel the casing before eating your first pizza, I strongly recommend it, since I found my first pizza to be too thick and possibly unpalatable. We have learned from the experience. The pre-sliced stuff is easier to slice and more messy because of the grease, but if you have your own slicer or a good knife and steady hands, I think it's worth it. It's got a very long shelf life before opening, and the taste is terrific. Take your homemade pizza and recipes to the next level!.

Pepperoni is one of my favorites! There are times when they are the same, but not always
4/5

Whenever I eat pepperoni, I think of you. The texture is pleasing, and I enjoy the taste. The situation is not always the same. In total, I have now ordered the product from Amazon a couple dozen times, and three of those times, the product had to be returned to Whitefoot, because the texture was simply off My mouth felt grainy and mealy after tasting it. Fortunately, they have replaced the order promptly every time, supplying me with a replacement at no cost. It's been more than a year since I complained about this issue A company has no excuse not to hold themselves to the strictest quality control standards so that their product is always, always the same. It would be helpful if they looked No one is sure when they will do so, but who is? I'd say it's one of the best products I've used. Most of the time, yes.

This was the worst experience I've ever The taste is somewhat sulphurous
3/5

Pizza is probably an item you will not notice these subpar qualities in. Although it is expensive, it is very good value for the money. It is made of good texture - The texture when cooked is a bit crumbly. My only complaint is that I bought six of them and can't really imagine eating all of them when they taste like rotten eggs, or burned or fried carnation. An electric charge. them so I could eat them plain as part of Keto. There's no way to do that.

Pepperoni with a bad taste
3/5

Despite not receiving ice packs with my package, I received it on Tuesday and it worked as intended. I am not sure why this item was not shipped with ice packs. immediately threw the 12 sticks of butter I had bought into the freezer as soon as I opened the box. had taken one out and opened it tonight, and it stank very bad. I gave my husband a piece and he declared it to be Pizza wouldn't be the same with that on it.
