It's possible I was bored at the time. Anyway, I'm serious when I say this is a fantastic deal. These are the standard-size bags that cost more than $2 at Dollar General. 00 a bag. These are less expensive, and you get free shipping if you have Amazon Prime. My turn-around time was just three days. It's impossible to beat.
I'm not sure if this was mentioned when I bought the item, but when I got the box, I noticed that all of the goldfish bags had an expiration date of late September. I was disappointed because I had hoped to keep them for a little longer before having to throw them out if they weren't eaten.
This was purchased as a gift for my daughter's Kindergarten class. I reasoned that the six bags would stay fresher than the single large box, and that the six packs would last a long time for a kindergarten class snack. Plus, if they become bored, they are not obligated to finish a large box; they can move on to something else and return to it later. If you don't choose to ship in an Amazon box, the item will arrive in a package box, so if that's a concern, don't buy it. heads up!.
I couldn't say no to a six-pack of Rainbow colors on Amazon. Despite the fact that I knew their best by date was three weeks after purchase, I packed them anyway. I know these bags will be consumed before August 23rd because I share them with others, but what I didn't like was that the manufacturer's box, which had only a mailing label and a few other stickers on it, had clearly been bitten into by something that was able to perforate a chunk out of the cardboard and the outer paper lining of one of the bags. (I'm guessing it wasn't an animal, but a machine. ) The Goldfish were not harmed because the interior bag was still sealed, so I immediately opened that torn bag and began counting from 1 to 55 as I put each one into my mouth, stopping when I reached 55 because it was a single serving and I didn't want to overeat. I could easily count out another 55 rainbows if I wanted to. If I notice the bag on my counter again today, I'll write the date in a Sharpie on it and re-mark it after each helping. I'm not sure if it's just my imagination, but these Goldfish have less salt and oil than the extra cheesy Goldfish I usually buy. This variety appeals to me even more because, unlike M, it comes in a variety of shapes and sizes. If I stop inhaling the 55, I'm pretty sure I'll be able to recognize the color with my eyes closed. Oh, and the kids adore them as well.
Background information: I've been a resident of Wisconsin for over 20 years. br>br>These are good, fresh, and a good value, and they work as part of the daily snacks my kids need because school lunches are no longer really lunches, but more like a mid-day snack in between "morning snack" and "afternoon snack. " But I'm getting ahead of myself. br>br>I'm having an issue with these Goldfish: They're a little too cheesy for my taste. The flavor is off in some way, and as I ate almost the entire bag, it occurred to me that they are almost too cheesy.
The ones I got have a three-month expiration date! Even though I requested a replacement, the expiration date remained the same. I'm not going to buy anything else in the future. Keep an eye on the dates to see if they're about to expire!.

(It's a good thing I got six!) Most snack manufacturers appear to be keeping a close eye on their profit margins. This typically entails "tweaking" a popular recipe, much to the dismay of customers. This is not a goldfish. I hope they stay this way for the rest of their lives.
