It isn't clear what is causing the problem, but I presume it is maybe because of the way the products are packaged. It is rare for me to receive a package that is not crushed and broken into pieces. The only problem is that they aren't available in my area, which means that I can't do anything about it.
Today, I got mine, and it's been seven months since I got them. The batches that Amazon sells can be brand new or expired, and they can be different from batch to batch. They have both been sent to me.

My usual preference is to purchase your product because you have a good one. In the end, it appeared that they packed it in an envelope, because when I got the product it was 3/4 of an inch thick and every single chip was broken up into a product that now looks like a bowl of dust. The last time I will order it through.
When the bag arrived, it had a 6" slit (it looked like it came from a knife) from almost the top to the bottom of the bag. Damage for that bag was evident without opening another clear bag that was taped and contained the bag in another clear bag. In addition to feeling crushed, you could also see them.
