Ok, so here is my take on the matter. We did a weekend exchange with a Canadian hockey program starting at age 9 and continued through age 14. I ordered this in the beginning of December 2014 and it expired in March I finished the box in January, so I finished it much earlier than March.

This is one of the best chips I have ever had! I noticed 8 of the bags were filled with AIR ONLY and about three were completely broken up into tiny pieces after I went through all of the bags. It took this seller a long time to ship the chips, and they were not fresh like you would expect. It's also a waste of time as they expire in a month They must have been old sitting around for a year and a half. I am extremely unhappy and when I contacted the seller I asked if they would be fresh upon their arrival next week, they gave a standard "robot" response. My next order would not be to purchase this product. Herbs' direct ordering would be more expensive for me. I was so disappointed since the chips were for my birthday, which passed soon after the chips were ordered.
I cannot say enough about how delicious it is. In a chip, you'll find all the flavors of ketchup soaked french fries. There's more I could write, but I am headed to the grocery store to get.

If you ever get rid of these chips please, they are the best on the market I've tried other brands and they aren't close to these, at least you can taste the ketchup, don't throw them out. My first order didn't arrive until I was about 2 months later, but since then I have placed 3 orders, and I am very addicted.
There is a lighter, crisper, more familiar texture, and there is also a bit more flavor to them. It is my opinion that Herr's only beats Lays if you want something crunchier and harder to eat.
