I absolutely adored these bars and had been receiving them on a monthly basis until now. I noticed that on the most recent order, they changed their recipe, and as a result, I will no longer eat or give them to my children. It used to be my go-to snack when I didn't have time for breakfast on my way to work, but with the amount of saturated fat they added in their new recipe, it is NO LONGER a good idea for anyone to eat these every other day. Each serving contains 5 g of saturated fat, for a total of 3 g of saturated fat per bar. There are four ingredients in the new recipe. 5 grams of saturated fat per serving, for a total of 9 grams of saturated fat per bar. That amount of saturated fat for the day is 69 of my recommended saturated fat for the day is 69 of my recommended amount of saturated fat for% That is a huge accomplishment! And yes, I understand if some of you say, "Well, just eat half. " In the United States, who eats half of a bar? Come on! This product is advertised as a healthier option, but this is no longer the case. I'm not sure if this change was made to increase the amount of protein in the bar, but it only added 1 g, which seems like a bad move. This is one of those vegan and gluten-free products you should avoid if you care about your heart and want it to keep beating for many years to come. Here's what the American Heart Association has to say about it:
"The American Heart Association recommends a dietary pattern with 5% to 6% of calories coming from saturated fat. br>br>For example, if you need about 2,000 calories per day, saturated fat should account for no more than 120 of them. br>br>On a daily basis, that equates to about 13 grams of saturated fat. "br>br>The saturated fat content of this product has increased to 9 g! Save yourselves, people! Don't do it! A Registered Nurse's signature was added to the document.
I'm one of the few people who enjoys the oatmeal raisin flavor, but I think it's fantastic! Most of the other flavors appeal to me as well. They're a meal substitute for me. Even when I'm working out, I eat one for breakfast and it keeps me going until lunch. It's simple to eat, but it's not so small that you feel cheated. br>br>All of the flavors I've tried seem decent, but I can rank them. br>br>It's all about finding good tasting gluten free products for me, and thank goodness I've got these because it simplifies at least one of my daily meals. br>br> Taste that wins: Gingerbread, which is only available during the holiday season, but I hope they keep it around for a long time! The following are some of my favorite things: Almond butter, maple pecans, and oatmeal raisin Tastes that are acceptable: Apple pie, cranberry orange, lemon poppy, chocolate chip, original, peanut butter chocolate chip, pumpkin spice. br>br>I tried the Stuffed versions (nut butter stuffed) but found them to be as dry as the desert; instead, stick with the bars, which are only slightly dry (have a glass of water handy). Because most flavors flake a little, keep an eye out for crumbs. br>br>I'll point out that Amazon doesn't appear to be very good at storing these. They're consistently harder and more brick-like than the ones I can buy at my local store. The version from the local store is much softer and has a nicer texture. Amazon is clearly messing with these, which is unfortunate because there are more coupons available on Amazon than at my local supermarket, lowering the price. Why do you have to be so cruel to us, Amazon? By the way, I'm not the first reviewer to say this, so perhaps Bobo and/or Amazon should pay attention!.
Our entire family became addicted to the show almost immediately. Then I discovered all of these different flavors on Amazon! We've tried the following so far: Gingerbread, banana chocolate chip, lemon poppyseed, oatmeal raisin, and orange cranberry are just a few of the flavors available. While we don't care for the oatmeal raisin flavor (it's too dry), we adore the rest. Amazing results when warmed in the microwave for 30 seconds. Warm gingerbread with a scoop of ice cream, I believe, is particularly dangerous: )br>I should point out that I have Celiac disease, so the gluten-free aspect was what initially drew me in, but even gluten-eaters in our house fight over these!.
I frequently purchase these in stores, and I recently purchased two boxes on Amazon. Butter made with maple syrup and almonds. The almond butter was hard as a rock and had gone stale. I assumed it was a one-time occurrence. This time I ordered two additional boxes. Raisins with cranberries and cinnamon. The Cinnamon Raisin was stale and hard as a rock when it arrived. I decided to return the Cinnamon Raisin bars after spending $120 on them, only to discover that they are not returnable. Go ahead and buy them if you don't mind potentially wasting $30.
This is my go-to for that, and I also eat one every morning for breakfast. br>br>However, don't eat anything past its expiration date; I discovered one in a bag I'd forgotten about, and it was moldy. This is a good sign in my opinion. When was the last time you saw a pop-up shop? Is it possible that the tart has developed mold? I have the case on autoship because my entire family enjoys them, and we go through a box in no time. I also enjoy this flavor.
Bobos has always been one of my favorite bands. I appreciate the fact that I can buy them in bulk on Amazon. I've ordered a lot of whole grains because they're the best. I was disappointed because the box of original bars I received a few weeks ago seemed stale in comparison to the Bobos I buy at my local market (but they are only available in limited flavors (PBJ and apple)). My boys prefer the original chocolate chip. Their palates are a little too sophisticated for the banana chocolate chip. Anyway, I'm hoping it was a one-time occurrence and will try again. I ordered the chocolate chip cookies, which were also hard as a rock. There will be no more Amazon Bobo bars: ((((.
Bobo's Oat Bars have been a staple in my diet for the past two years, and I absolutely adore them! They're perfect for me because I have a lot of food allergies and sensitivities. I usually purchase the apple pie or peach flavors, but I recently discovered the original "flavor" and it is AMAZING! I bought them because they were the cheapest flavor, but I'm going to buy them again because they're delicious! Haha!.
