The bars are excellent when they are made properly. For me, they deserve a five-star rating. It is the bad quality control that causes a problem. There are some bars that are fine, but then you find a batch that is so stale you wonder if it was produced in the 1970s. This snack is delicious. It would be nice to find a Cliff bar substitute that tastes similar to it. As opposed to Cliff bars on Amazon Prime, these had more protein, less calories, but were more expensive (two wins and a loss, so OK)

Although I have eaten the chocolate sea salt bar before, I was surprised when I took my first bite, the chocolate sea salt bar had a very rancid aftertaste. There is another bar in the box that tastes better. Had the same rancid taste as I remembered. From a bad batch I'm guessing. This was my response to Amazon & Co. I found tiny little seeds in about every bar (see picture) due to poor mixing quality. Some other seed, hard and not chewable, was present instead of peanut. As a result, I have to be extremely careful when chewing this batch. For the price of these bars, having a batch of such poor quality is a definite turnoff.

am a huge fan of these bars and recommend them highly. Those Rx Bars are chewy, but keep in mind you are getting some protein and fiber without any whey, soy, or any kind of substitutes. The chewy texture comes from the dates, which are used as a base for most of the bars. Whey protein is tolerable for my stomach, but I can only take so much of it The products with whey and soy protein do not appeal to me. As a great alternative, these bars contain egg whites and nuts, both of which are a great source of protein. You should pay attention to what is in your protein or nutrition bar.
