He'd only recently returned (and had essentially eaten nothing). When asked why, I was told they were extremely difficult; however, when I looked at the 'Best By' date on the bottom, it was April! He didn't return from his trip until August 15th, a week after it was supposed to end. Food that is past its expiration date should not be sold!.
I wish I could give it zero stars because I bought it in September 2018 and my brother had already eaten some and kept telling me how strange they tasted. When I arrived at my mother's house, I discovered that the expiration date was November 24, 2016. I can't believe it, but the deadline for returning has already passed, and I need to warn the rest of you.
When I opened the box, I discovered that it had been open for a month. Refunds were not given to me.
This box was just delivered, and it has one week until it expires. The bars are all stale and not chewy in the least. I'm not going to order any more of these.
The bars had seen better days. The ability to order these bars in bulk was extremely convenient. However, a few weeks after I received the most recent shipment, it began to become hard. They were about to expire when I checked the expiration date. It's a shame because I'll have to discard about half of the box.
I ordered these three times before canceling the subscription, and each time they arrived stale and hard; I double-checked the date codes, and they weren't expired; for some reason, the bars were just rock hard, even though the ones I buy in the grocery store are soft and, well, CHEWY. br>br>I'm hoping the seller isn't going to change the sale price. I know that dates are important, but I'm not sure why Amazon's CHEWY granola bars are hard and stale while store-bought ones taste fine.
Twisted. Melted. While I enjoy this brand and frequently purchase the smaller boxes, I purchased this to sell as concessions at an event. Smooshed, twisted, and melted into their packaging were all of the bars (and I mean ALL of them). I couldn't sell them because they were so pitiful looking. So perhaps you'd like them for lunches, and your children will be unconcerned. That is fantastic. Get them. But if I needed something else, I'd go to the store and get the nicer boxes.
I used to buy these locally all the time because they are my go-to breakfast, but I discovered them on Subscribe and Save for a fraction of the price (less than a penny per bar), so I bought them a few times. They're mangled and smashed in the box, and they're not as fresh as the ones I buy in local stores. The same thing happened in each of the four boxes I received. I'm not sure why they're of such poor quality, but the quality is the sole reason I removed them from my Subscribe and Save list.
