Check for worms soaking in the water fig insides in a glass dish
3/5

I had previously placed an order and was pleased with the results. Most recently, I was dissatisfied because figs appeared "off" and tasted different, raising fears of worms or insect infestation. br>br>For a kosher consumer, this is critical. I threw away whatever was left. I didn't do the bug test because, aside from breaking open the figs and inspecting them with my naked eye (I didn't see anything suspicious), I didn't do the bug test. I usually break open the figs and leave them in a glass bowl of water overnight. Maggots will be visible in the water if they are present. br>br>I didn't do it because I was afraid of getting a "positive" result and being horrified. br>br>Despite the kosher label, I'm going to go with 2-. Three times I've considered buying something else.

Initially, it was delicious - spoiled far too soon - I had to throw out a quarter of the bag
3/5

This is my third time ordering figs online, and my initial reaction was "WOWEE!" These are plump, juicy, and incredibly delicious. " (1st image) The first figs I purchased were from Shiloh Farms, and they were extremely dry but still edible. The second figs were supposed to be from Snack Farms, but I got figs that had been repackaged by the seller in their own bags and contained horrible dried out figs with black rotten parts that looked like small hockey pucks - inedible to the point of oblivion - Unfortunately, these figs from Food To Live spoiled in a matter of weeks, and I had to discard about a quarter of the bag. (2nd image) They were so bad that they made me feel ill. I guess I'll just keep looking.

Definitely Rock- These figs have let me down so badly
3/5

I read some excellent reviews and decided to buy them based on the positive feedback. The figs I received, on the other hand, are so tough that I can't even start cutting them. I intended to use them in a holiday cake that calls for cut-up dried figs, which I always make. br>This order has caused me a great deal of distress - My money was a waste.

Figs that have gone bad! In the bag, there are some moldy figs! They are whitish in color
3/5

I assumed it was a freshness additive because I wasn't familiar with this brand. I didn't realize it was my fourth fig until I bit into it. It tasted awful; ewww, gross; It came out of my mouth! It's not the only one! Because this item is non-returnable, sending spoiled food out is unforgivable. I'm not going to purchase any more of them. Regrettably, I had assumed their name was well-known. I purchased a large number of their items. 😡.

The figs, on the other hand, were never good company
3/5

They were a great company, but only for the first three orders. We expected these to return to being moist and delicious if we kept ordering them, but they actually got worse. So we stopped ordering dates altogether. Their cashews, papaya, nuts, and seeds, on the other hand, have been consistently excellent for over six months. I simply believe that figs are difficult to keep fresh.

From the product to the packaging, everything about it is a disaster
3/5

The fig is a tiny fruit. 8 lbs. of small figs that are as dry as straw to eat. I put three figs in a cereal bowl, added some water, and watched as they absorbed the liquid right in front of my eyes. They were still tough and stringy after a little more water and 20 seconds in the microwave, far from deserving of the 09 - It has a freshness date of 2022 written on it. I guess I'll have to do a chargeback on my credit card since there was no return.

The Wrong Batch I'd like a refund of my funds
3/5

I've previously purchased an 8-pound bag of figs from this vendor, and I've always purchased figs from other vendors as well. This is the first time I've ever felt compelled to do so. This isn't a particularly good batch. I didn't think much of it until I started eating them and tasted mold, a strange texture, and a very bad taste, which freaked me out and caused me to examine them more closely and open them up before eating. Only a small percentage of them are edible, and it appears that the majority of the ones in this bag are. They don't have a return policy, but I'm hoping that the company will compensate me in some way.

These figs aren't like the moist black figs you might find at your local grocery store (although I'm finding them less and less frequently)
4/5

They're fine, though, if you're used to the dried six-packs of figs. These taste exactly the same as the inch circles. I've had them sitting in their original bag for a month or two, unopened, and they're still as good as when I first opened them.
