Questions & Answers
They were indeed fresh, but they arrived almost ripe; they were still edible, but they were shipped via USPS with a tiny ice pack. They were still decent, despite the fact that it was useless.
I ended up with a total of 12 figs.
This is a fig that has recently been picked. However, we do not ship to states where shipping from California takes three days.

For the first time, I was extremely dissatisfied with an Amazon order; I'm not sure where these figs were grown, but they certainly weren't the figs I had in Texas. I will not order this item again because it is very small, has little flavor, and is somewhat hard. Katharine Chand (br>Katherine Chand (br>Katherine Chand (br>.
They have grown on me now. Planting a couple of fig trees made me feel conflicted. But I'd never had a fresh fig before, only dried and Fig Newtons, which I didn't care for. However, fig trees are a favorite of many gardeners on YouTube. My friend had four large fig trees in his yard and despised them. But at the time, he didn't eat figs, and I couldn't find any fresh figs in the store. So I finally went out and bought some fresh figs. And now I'm a fig fanatic who wants a couple of fig trees in my yard. I'm not sure which ones, but they won't be the berry or honey varieties. These Black Mission figs were particularly appealing to me. So these provided the motivation I needed to try them fresh and decide that yes, I do want a couple of fig trees. I'm sure those won't bear fruit for at least a few years. So, over the next year or two, I'll probably buy a few more of these.
br>I made the decision to give it a shot. br>When I got them, I discovered that half or more of them had mold, and the rest were past their prime and on the verge of developing mold. br>It's too costly to waste fruit.
After attempting a few, the remaining packages were discarded. That was the first one I'd ever tried, and if they're all the same, I'll never eat another fresh fig. I believe the figs were left in the heat for longer than they should have been, as the package was swollen and the cold pack was warm when it arrived. br>After that was too much, I'll stick to my favorite dried figs, which can be shipped without refrigeration.
I hate to write a negative review, but this was a complete waste of money. The figs are tiny, but there's plenty of juice in the container, and the skins appear to have been removed. It had a sour and acidic flavor to it. Lits were smashed and in a bad way. I gave a couple of them a shot. This isn't something to eat. Very let down.
This is a product that I would not purchase again. The price is exorbitant given the product's quality.
They're up there with the best of them.
br>However, because they were so expensive, I was unable to place additional orders.
