They were only delivered to me this morning. I was stumped as to what to do with them, so I put them on crab cakes. According to the directions, cut the pod in half and squeeze out the contents. With arthritic fingers, that didn't work out so well. On my next attempt, I'll cut them in half lengthwise and use a butter knife or something to scoop out the insides. Crab cakes, on the other hand, benefit from a nice lime flavor. I'm not sure how else to describe them other than lime, but they're not bitter like a lime. They're a little pricey, so I'm not likely to keep them in my fridge, but I had to try them when I heard about them.

This style is one of my favorites, and it makes a big impression on visitors who are unfamiliar with them. You get a nice bright lime flavor without any of the bitterness that traditional limes can have. Despite the fact that I would be using the limes for holiday entertaining, I decided to take a chance and order them from this company. They went above and beyond! The "beads" really burst with the juice, and I ordered them with standard shipping, and they arrived sooner than I expected. Shanley Farms will be my first choice for future orders.

I am undecided. We've had some fantastic finger limes in the past from another vendor, but these are in a different league. These were shriveled and quite small. We tried to savor them as much as possible because they aren't something we get very often. They were extremely sour and contained only a small amount of fruit. There were a total of more than a dozen of them. It was a fun purchase, but it did not turn out the way I had hoped. It didn't appear to be the same as the photo.

I used them for a party and they were fantastic. Perfectly packaged and delivered. They were a big hit on the key lime pie slices at a party where I used them.
