After reading other reviews, I was a little skeptical, but I was pleasantly surprised. I'm locked down because of Covid 19, so there was no other option but to order them, and they were a bit pricey, but I didn't have a choice; oddly enough, I mostly need the peels to spread around the edges of the deck and the sunroom to keep skunks away! Fruit is one of my favorite foods, and this one was particularly tasty. 11 medium oranges were delivered to me. One of the oranges was slightly squished and had mold on the outside, but the rest were in excellent condition, and the one I ate was delicious.
What I received were old oranges that had been thrown into a USPS box with no care or packaging and were allowed to slide around and bang into each other during shipping due to the partially full box. Furthermore, the long, skinny USPS box with no packaging meant that anything resting on it (all those other items shipped with it) were resting on and squeezing the oranges on the inside, and they didn't even properly tape the box's end. So, as I stood at the post office, the postmaster could see and touch what was inside (held only by the cardboard tap in the center of the box flap) and, after being shipped that way, it had warped and was partially open, allowing the postmaster and others to see and touch it. These were ordered on May 7, and I've since learned that because they're out of season in mid-April, this California variety (which I tried to find fresh elsewhere) hasn't been harvested in weeks. She's selling an old product that she got over a month ago and is no longer usable. She's also chosen to ignore two emails sent over the course of a week, which I can only assume is because she knows the content she sent me was old and useless. I can't leave zero stars, so I'll leave one. If you want to avoid the pain, stay away from this seller. I'm sure you have more important things to do with your time (like I do) than deal with extremely expensive defective produce and a seller who refuses to accept responsibility. If they were honest and took responsibility for the situation, I would not be leaving this negative feedback.
In these times of shelter-in-place, this is a real treat. Thank you so much for making these available! All I wish for is for there to be more!.
The price of an orange at $5 is excessive. Each orange isn't one pound, in my opinion. They aren't particularly large. It arrived in a priority mail box with no indication that it had been sent by Amazon. I'm not going to order anything else.
The oranges from Cara Cara were delivered on time. It had an incredible flavor. I received 13 oranges, all of which were in perfect condition, with no signs of mold, and which provided good value for the money. Yes, I would order it again, despite the fact that it appears to be expensive for the quantity of oranges received.
At first, the fruit was excellent, but it was older. Although it degraded faster than expected, the company made a good product out of it. Price has been refunded, and new fruit has been sent.
They were small and had a hard time peeling themselves away. It was far too expensive for what I received.
