Product Description

Is it possible to make Limoncello from scratch? Lemons that haven't been waxed will do the trick.
These lemons, on the other hand, aren't particularly attractive. They have scars and marks on their bodies. They have a wrinkled appearance at times.
Without the use of wax, they are completely organic.
Also, these aren't the big Italian lemons from Sorrento. These are lemons from the United States that have been grown organically.
Ice packaging is included in the shipping cost.

Questions & Answers

Is there a yellow tint to them?

They are lemons in their purest form. There is no wax or dye in this piece. My husband and I have been purchasing these for over a year and are extremely satisfied with the quality. I wash them, rinse them in a vinegar solution, then rinse them again with water before drying and freezing them. Then we'll remove them and blend them with water in our Vitamix to make our morning cleanse drink. We are very particular about the purity (nothing added, especially chemicals) and quality (nothing harmful, fresh, good fruit) of the lemons because we use them for cleansing.

Is it true that these are Sorrento Lemons (feminello)?

These aren't lemons from Sorrento. (For more information on this product, please see the description.) Thank you for your inquiry.

What makes these lemons so good for making limoncello? What sets them apart from the rest of Organic Mountain's organic lemons?

These do not contain any wax. The others, however, are not. Although the vegetable oil coating isn't necessarily a bad thing, it shouldn't be in your Limoncello.

Are these safe to use during a master cleanse?

Yes! These lemons are perfect for the master cleanse.

Lemons that are perfect for Limoncello
5/5

I went back to these Organic Farms unwaxed lemons after a couple of mediocre batches of limoncello made with organic lemons from Whole Foods, and now the limoncello is back to its lemony best and sunniest yellow. Six pounds of lemons equals about four dozen lemons. Only one lemon had any mold at all, and it was shipped with cold packs. This organic unwaxed lemon far outperforms other organic unwaxed lemons I've recently used. br>br>This is one of my limoncello recipes. For every two ounces of 190 proof Everclear, use one lemon's zest. I have a microcomputer that I use. zester. In a jar, combine the zest and the Everclear, and steep the zest for 4 weeks (or less if you prefer). After only a week of steeping, I produced delicious limoncello. After the zest has steeped, strain the alcohol through a fine mesh sieve and then through coffee filters to remove all of the zest residue. Combine the lemon zest infused alcohol and simple syrup (one part spring water, one part agave nectar) in a 50/50 ratio. The yellow in the lemons is enhanced by using gold agave nectar. If necessary, strain and filter once more. This produces a clear liqueur that is delicious. br>br>For a cloudy limoncello (louche), I use the 1/3 1/3 1/3 recipe, weighing the alcohol after straining and filtering, then making the simple syrup with equal parts spring water and white sugar. I use 500 g of water and 500 g of white sugar if the alcohol is 500 g. Bring the water and sugar to a boil, then cool before adding to the infused alcohol. That limoncello is also excellent. br>br>When making limoncello, the most important things to remember are to avoid the white pith when zesting (the lemons should still be yellow after zesting), and to use the right lemons - UNWAXED and organic. It's difficult to make a mistake if you stick to these two rules. The length of time the zest steeps isn't nearly as important as some people believe. In my experience, whether it steeps for a week or three months makes little difference. br>br>These are the best lemons for limoncello that I've found.

It was disappointing
3/5

On January 1, I made a purchase. I was told I'd get them in a few days, so I ordered 20. On January 1st, I got them. 20. A damaged box (1st issue), and a label that reads "Priority Mail 2 Day" (2nd issue). I took the package out of the box. 3rd issue: found 4 smashed lemons on top. In comparison to local stores, I thought the lemons were very small, (4th issue). Lemons have extremely thin skin, making it difficult to obtain good skin for limoncello (5th issue). While going through the box, I discovered six moldy lemons that had been partially crushed (6th issue). I was able to get 36 very small, low-quality lemons to work with. Price, quality, and size were all a letdown. delivery. After reading the other reviews, I was hoping for a higher quality product, but it did not materialize.

Excellent lemons that haven't been coated on the outside
5/5

These lemons are being used to cleanse my morning drink on a daily basis. br>Excellent! br> br>br>There is no wax or other substance. only the lemons in their entirety br>Mix with a little water in the Vitamix to make ice cubes to serve with warm water, sea salt, and green tea. br>br>Used to squeeze lemons from the store. br>Because we use the entire lemon, this is much better. There will be less waste.

For limoncello, this is ideal
5/5

We buy these fantastic lemons so that we can make limoncello at home. We have a great recipe and wax-free wax after living in southern Italy for a few years. Because any wax would prevent the lemon oil from infusing the alcohol, free lemons are essential. Excellent lemons, prompt delivery, and a cheerful note in each box!.

For limoncello, sour is not a good thing! After zesting with the proper zest tool and adding the pricey Tito's Texas vodka, After waiting over two weeks for the cure, I had no choice but to throw the entire project away
3/5

I attempted to make a lemon pie using only the juice from the lemons. I had previously made wonderfulbr>limoncello with Sorrento lemons and never had to throw it out, nor had I ever had to throw out a lemon pie! These were by far the worst lemons I've ever had, and they weren't cheap! Beware!.

Lemons of exceptional quality
5/5

I didn't keep track of how many lemons I got, but there were quite a few. They've been over a month, and I've only thrown out two that had reached the month mark but were starting to go bad (lol). These were well worth the money. I prefer juicing with the skin on, and I appreciate the fact that these are not waxed. They're also extremely juicy. When I squish them with my fingers, I can feel the juice bursting inside, and it literally pours out as soon as I cut into them.

Organic Lemons are a good choice
5/5

These lemons made me very happy. I had to wait a few days before I could open the box, but when I did, I was pleasantly surprised to find they were still very fresh and fragrant. They're very juicy and tasty, as others have mentioned. The skins are also clear. I couldn't have asked for a better solution. Organic Mountain Farms is a place where I would buy again.
