My husband was born and raised in the Sunshine State. We live in the city of Seattle. I did an Amazon search after listening to him fantasize about real key lime pie for about five years and came across these cuties. Now I live about as far away from Florida as you can get while still remaining in the United States. I got perfectly ripe and fresh key limes in both of my purchases. Other reviews mentioned some complaints, but my experience with this company was fantastic. My orders were delivered on time and in good condition. They weren't bruised, crushed, or old, and none of them needed to be discarded. There has never been a bad lime delivered to me. It's just my opinion, but I don't think the company is to blame for the negative reviews. It's easy to let something go bad by allowing it to sit for an extended period of time. Maybe they were dumped on their doorstep during a particularly bad storm? I'm not sure what I'm saying. But I do know that both of my experiences, which took place on opposite sides of the country, far exceeded my expectations. And the pies turned out beautifully!.
Finding fresh key limes on Amazon was a godsend because I had been looking for them in the market. The limes are small, but just right for me, and are juicy and seeded. These key limes will also keep well in the fridge.
I'd never bought key limes before, but I needed them for a key lime pie, so I bought this bag. Key limes aren't always easy to come by, so I bought some in order to save time. There were a lot of them (probably around 30) and only one of them was bad. Given that they were dispatched during the summer, I believe this is a good result. They're more yellow than green, but after doing some research, I discovered that's the color of a ripe key lime, and they don't ripen on the branch, so they're as ripe as they'll get when they arrive. They made fantastic juice, and my pie turned out to be fantastic. I would purchase this item again.
These limes were delicious because they were fresh, plentiful, and perfectly formed. Do not be hesitant!.
The only positive thing I can say about these is that they arrived quickly, and all of the key limes (except one!) were still alive and well when they arrived. ) were mostly yellow to light green in color and weren't ripe. I couldn't avoid using them because I needed them for a last-minute wedding cupcake order. The cupcakes and buttercream were extremely bitter, despite the fact that it was the same recipe I'd used previously and received rave reviews. This is the last time I will purchase from this vendor.
There's enough to make three pies plus a few extras. It was green when it arrived, so it took a few days for it to ripen.

I bought these key limes because they're hard to come by in my area and I use them as part of an alkaline diet; however, they arrived mostly yellow and not as fresh as they appeared in the picture. Disappointed to the point of frustration. I am not going to purchase anything else.
