The first order turned out to be amazing. Not woody, but jucey. The quality of this batch was poor. I threw it out and asked for a refund because it had super thick skin that was discolored, dry, and scary on the inside. If they're from the same store, they should tell you! They should tell you anyway, because some of the local stores aren't that great.
Blood oranges have long been a favorite of mine. I was pleasantly surprised to find them this late in the season, and I later discovered they are imported. Some things are worth the impact on the environment of traveling a long distance for. I was initially concerned that I had received the incorrect oranges because they lacked the red color that I am accustomed to receiving. Peeling them, on the other hand, revealed luscious dark red flesh. Superb!.
I only ordered two of them to give them a try. Luckily. The first was getting ready to start molding. The decay had not yet begun, but there were already brown posts. The skin is excessively thick. br>br> You'll end up with a tiny orange by the time you're done peeling. br>br>The orange has a dry, woody flavor to it. Even when you break a slice, no liquid pours out. br>br>I'm trying to figure out why this flavor is so bad. It's not as bitter as I had hoped for, but it's still enjoyable. It's also not the sourness I'm used to. br>br>I have something in my stomach that I don't want to eat. Nature's warning to not eat them is similar to the taste of bitter almonds (different flavor, same effect).
Blood oranges are one of my favorite fruits. They appear to be a little smaller than I anticipated once again. Furthermore, despite being a blood orange, they were a little dry when I cut them. They're very fresh and juicy for me. . . . I'll most likely buy them again because they're hard to come by where I live, unless I can find them at Trader Joe's or another store that specializes in that type of fruit. I just hope they find a better vendor in the future because the price was reasonable. If I can find some that are a little juicier and hopefully a little bigger, I'll keep ordering. Please keep your price reasonable in order for it to be affordable in today's society.
Only a few hours after delivery, these had dried up and become mushy. I still have four more that will be thrown away. What a waste; I usually trust Amazon's produce, but this was a big no-no for me.
These are absolutely awful. Did they get these for free? Amazon Fresh's produce is terrible; no supermarket buyer would buy it. Is this the sort of thing Whole Foods spits out? The orange was barely visible due to its lack of saturation. It could be a sign of frost damage or it could just be UNRIPE. Citrus sorting machines can be found almost everywhere. This orange would be 100% of a reject. So either it was a one-in-a-thousand chance, or Amazon is buying low-grade rejects and selling them as grade A. Unscrupulous, to say the least. Take note of this.
When it arrived, it was spoiled on the inside and out.
I decided to try these oranges after reading about their health benefits, and they were delicious. I apologize for the negative feedback received by other reviewers. attempting to taste fruit The oranges I received were delicious and extremely juicy. They were, however, quite small; I'm not sure if that's due to the type of orange, but they were delicious.
