It is always my choice to take the best apples from the bin. The idea of having someone else choose was not an option that appealed to me. It wasn't the best produce they delivered to me, it was the worst. As a result of this first trial, I stopped doing fresh deliveries.

In spite of the fact that I'm not a picky eater, if I can't get what I want out of an apple in the first bite, I will throw the rest of it away and spit it out. As someone who grew up near apple orchards, I have developed very high expectations for apples, which are far from being met by most grocery store apples. Crisp, tart, and juicy, these apples were perfect for fall. One of the best Pink Lady sandwiches I have ever eaten in.
It turned out that the part of the apple that wasn't bruised or damaged was approximately half of the apple sliced into three odd shapes. It looked crisp and juicy throughout the rest of the Apple, so I wouldn't have attempted to retrieve it. Even my husband (who is very fussy about food) gave it five stars for taste. I could have enjoyed it more if it hadn't been so badly.
Besides the size and color of Pink Lady apples, there are slight differences in their flavour and texture, depending on the type of weather and the orchard, the number of trees, the time of harvest, and how they are stored. If you have ever bought a Pink Lady apple in a bag from your local supermarket, do not judge them by their tiny size. Btw, these small bagged apples are priced at $2 a piece. Those 99 cents, which is just 50 cents each, are a far better value for children, and they're just as portable as candy bars and junk food in.
When I bought the apple in February, it was crisp and delicious. It wasn't smart to buy one apple. There were so many good things in the dish I wanted more.

I love the way this fruit tastes and how crispy it is (when out of the fridge). One of the dozen or so we've tried that has always been my (and my family's) favorite. However, their prices are way too high. Seeking the lowest possible price for them all the time.
