Amazon has been my source for dried pineapples for the past two years. One of the first orders we placed was for a different brand that was really good, to the point that a 2lb bag did not last long between two of us. This time I was ordering more, which is why I chose another brand.

I picked this brand due to the reviews as well as the price. The fruit arrived on time, and did not spend any time in the mailbox as the postal worker gave the package to me. From the moment I opened the pineapple bag, I should have noticed this product was of lower quality than I normally buy. Upon opening the bag, it became clear that the ziplock that was attached to the bag could not work properly and the bag would not be able to seal. All fruit was put into a gallon ziplock bag to make it possible to use a resealable bag. The fruit has been ready for a while, so we can now taste it. In order to eat it, I first get a piece and chew on it. You would think I would have a rock in my mouth if I go to chew. I'm going to attempt to soften up the material by sucking on it for a little while. A 20-minute time frame later, it was still too hard to fully chew, so I was forced to give it It ended up being like this for the entire bag. The number of pieces you can't eat outweighs the number of decent pieces. In the future, I am not going to buy this brand again.

Since it came to me so long after its expiration date of 2/15/2018, it was no longer valid! There is no seal on the bag! It is from Thailand! As I have tried several brands, I have found this one to taste freshest and have the most meaty texture, which makes it pleasant to chew, as opposed to other brands that are too dried out or not ripe enough, which lead to the teeth being too hard.

Having tasted one slice and being super sensitive to sugar, I am inclined to believe this product has a lot of added sugar. I specifically wanted dried fruit without any added sugar. The big package at the moment has me feeling pretty dissatisfied, especially since it's quite heavy! it will be appreciated by people at my office. If I keep eating all that sugar, I will go comatose. This is the same brand of pineapple I bought, and I haven't opened it yet. I'll return it so I feel comfortable doing so. Due to the nature of this item, I will not be able to return it! It's extremely upsetting to me to not be able to return the dried fruit packets I ordered. I have two other packets along with different dried fruit which I have not opened yet. I wouldn't eat something that includes so much sugar, and I'm not healthy for it to be so bad. Two slices of pizza will put me into a coma, let alone one or two I do not recommend this product for health reasons.

My dried pineapple purchases have been coming in sticky lately - the pineapple has become very sticky when I open a bag of it, as though it had gotten wet somehow. Because the quality of this product has dropped, I will not be purchasing it anytime soon. It's unlikely that the seller is to blame, therefore I will give it one more shot at a later date and see if it has improved in freshness and taste.
