I've tried a dozen different dried mango brands and these are by far the best; I feel like I'm eating dessert when I eat them. They're especially good when they're on sale because, as others have said, dried mango is expensive, so I stock up when they're on sale.
These were soft, juicy, and delicious the first time I bought them on August 9th, 2021; they were so good that I bought three more bags on August 14th, 2021. bad idea. The second batch had a rubbery, dry texture. not good. The only difference I noticed was that the first batch came from Mexico, while the second batch came from Burkina Faso.
These were delicious, tender, and sweet the first time I ordered them. They were dried, hard, and flavorless the last time I tried them. Trying to gnaw through the pieces caused my teeth to hurt. I'm debating whether or not I should give them to my dog. I'm not sure I'll order anything else in the future.
At least some of it. However, it is far from perfect. I took a piece from my first bag and thought to myself, "oh, an end piece, I can live with that. " It was bleh, hard, and sour. I tossed it in the trash. The second piece served as both a transition and a conclusion. You know the ones, the ones that are all fibrous and difficult to chew? Yes, I was dissatisfied when I discovered that this was the case for the majority of my bag. I'm eating as much as I can, but I'm not buying it again. In any case, the majority of it is dry and sour. No, I never buy mango that has been sugared or treated in any way. I used to shop at Whole Foods in bulk, but I no longer live near one. I suppose this was just the first of many attempts to create something edible.
I believe it's because I'm used to the sweet and spicy Mexican style. I'll give it to you that these are a healthy option. You'll probably enjoy these if you have a vegan palate.
I've tried a lot of dried mango brands, and this one was okay. My favorite was the 365 whole foods brand, but they haven't been available in a long time.
