Mold does not exist in that picture. In the drying process, some of the figs develop dark spots and some become too soft. When ready to eat, wash the figs and return them to the refrigerator. You need to store them in a dry, cold environment (a refrigerator would be perfect). You don't need to worry about anything. This Turkish brand earned a place among the best in my life. I am originally from Iraq and have eaten dried figs all my life.
No mention is made of sorbate or sulfates on the packaging
Does it sound bad to you? Natural black spots and some very soft spots can be seen on this dried fig. In this case, the drying process is responsible for the phenomenon. In any case, if you're sure they're bad, you should contact Amazon directly.

Here's what I have to say so far. Here is an update for you. We love the organic aspect of these and love that they are delicious. It is easier for me to enjoy them when I soak them first in a little bowl of water, as it softens them up, but you can also eat them right out of the bag. Figs are wonderful digestive aids that contain an enzyme that helps to clear intestinal parasites. A DC told me that figs were a great anti-parasite food. It may not be the case, but I have actually gotten rid of the need for most desserts by eating them Figs are a bit hard to come by now, so these are the next best thing. In the past two years, I have gotten two bags of these figs from A&B It has produced low quality rotting wood. Some of the wood is dark and very rotten. In addition, there are many with holes caused by insects. Even if they are edible, I'm not sure they are healthy. The bag was empty after 1/2 of it was used. Even though I would like to purchase organic foods, I will need to shop around for them. My trust in this company used to be so strong over the years. I am so disappointed.
Figs are one of my favorite fruits, and these are fantastic! My goal is to always keep them in stock by ordering them on a regular basis. I know I'll feel guilty if I eat it occasionally, but it's like having dessert without feeling guilty. The fridge makes mine a little harder, but has a shelf life of about two weeks. They come back to life if you wait just a few minutes and leave them out for a bit. Do not be alarmed if you notice the texture and/or color of the image changing There may be some who think it is mold because they see a tad of white or something like that The only time I have seen mold on mine is when they were kept for a long time in the fridge. I believe that white stuff is probably sugar from the fig itself which kind of crystallizes a little bit. This is kind of like how raw honey works. If your figs are soft, that does not indicate they are As a result, they are just fine. I order them all the time and have never had any problems with them.
There are so many types of figs to choose from, and these were some we had never In the past, we have eaten figs without and with preservatives, so I knew what should have been The items were delivered directly to me by USPS, so no time was spent waiting in the sun. I've been ordering Turkish figs through Amazon for the past five years. As a standard order, I buy a 5lb bag of corn or two smaller bags that end up being about 5lb each. The figs I ordered through this website have been the least tasty out of all the figs I have ordered. Their flavors must have developed over time when they had sat around for too long. There is nothing terribly sweet about this but it is somewhat sour and off-putting. Due to the fact that they cannot be returned, I'll just have to eat It looks good, for the most part. A few of them are too dark brown, like they've been compressed, but they still taste good. Having given up on this brand, all I can do is never order it.
Ugh, that would be awful. In spite of my best efforts, the fig I selected from the bag was not right. I felt my inside mouth puckered and dried after eating it. It looked the same as the others, but it didn't have any sweetness. will not try another one due to the bad taste of the first. There is no way I can subject myself to more bad tastes and sensations that way! If this isn't edible, can you just take it as a loss and feel ripped off? You can't return it, but if it doesn't work can I postpone returning it? Let me know when you're free. I wish you all the best.
Review writing is not my normal practice. This year's figs are so bad that I feel I need to speak up for them. Here are a few points to consider. There is an off flavor or an old taste to them. In many cases, mechanical processing seems to have damaged the figs. Having been a customer of Amazon for a while, I am very grateful for their refund policies.
Figs are one of my favorite fruits. The figs, however, are not very good. I found them to be sour, moldy, and dry on the inside. From the entire 3 pound packet, four good figs were found. My plan was to use them to keep raccoons, possums, and other animals away from my apple and pear trees - however, it didn't work. My mouth is watering just thinking about how fresh and yummy it is! My next purchase will definitely be a repurchase. A lot of the time I get nauseated and feel ill. By consuming Braggs olive oil and Braggs apple cider vinegar purchased from Amazon, one can perform a liver and gallbladder cleanse. The Chanca Piedra stone breaker is also on the list. The delivery arrived at the front door within a day or so, which is tremendous considering it's As the products are not easily accessible in the area where I live, these dried figs are both pretty and convenient. They have a light sweet taste to them, without being too overpowering. Fig newtons are also good, but these are better. As a result of stomach problems, I eat clean. Eat one or two at a time and no issues arise. It is an effective and healthy way to relieve nausea and boost energy without side effects. It is a great price considering how good dried figs are. I have purchased it the past and it turned out great. Moldy figs were purchased in this purchase.
