We had to throw away two of the twelve containers because they leaked. I have tried so many beef broths, and this is by far the best. The depth of flavor draws out the best in everything we cook with it and makes soups show-stoppers. If you try it, you won't be sorry and will be so happy you.
I can assure you that this is the greatest beef stock you'll ever taste. With a great flavor and depth, the sauce is rich and flavorful. It is easy to see why this brand receives such high ratings. The only catch is that you have to buy a dozen at a time. Despite this, I intend to purchase again.
This is the favorite commercial stock in Cook's Illustrated taste tests, mainly because it is minimally tainted. (As expected, homemade stock does not replace the Test Kitchen's preference, but that's another story. Years ago, I started using this broth since I'm a big fan of it. It was no longer available at my local Stop and Shop. I have bought a case of 12 from Amazon a second time. In September, a case shipped to us had a Best By date of November. Today is Sunday, April 24. Yes, that is fine. But the case that arrived in November is a bit overdue. In addition to 9, 9 was also voted best by November. Today is Sunday, April 24. Shipment would be too close to the expiration date, in my opinion.
