I do not make gumbo from scratch because I am not the type of person who would. There is too much work to do. The closest and easiest way to prepare gumbo for dinner is to use the recipe above. You are doing a great job! According to the instructions on the can, all you have to do is add the seafood and serve, but if you want some substance you will need to add veggies. The dish contains bits of okra and other stuff, but it has been cooked down a lot. In addition to onions, peppers, and cracked pepper, I also sauté a bag of frozen cut okra and some Andouille sausage before adding the gumbo base. At the end, I add shrimp and crabmeat.
The gumbo tasted like it ought to be, just like Louisiana gumbo should. It was delicious. There is also a pound of chicken and a pound of sausage added. The easiest of the easiest. It's delicious too. If you have time, you can add a few sauteed onions to make it special.
I first began eating Blue Runner Gumbo after my brother Bill, a fellow Baton Rouge native, recommended it to me. My last night was spent drinking. One can contains one pound of chopped chicken, while the other contains one pound You will never be able to make it easier than this, and it's A new order will be placed soon. A great addition to their menu is their "Creole Chicken Fricassee Base. ". There are still some left, but they seem to have I can trust Uncle George when he says he knows what he's talking about.
Over the years, I have made gumbo many times. Because the roux does not need to be made, it takes a lot less time to make. it over the celery & allow it to sit for a while Once the onions are soft, add the seafood, okra, and sausage and cook. There is no taste difference between my husband and me.
As I served it over rice, I added some chicken and smoked sausage. A dash of Tabasco, and I was back in Louisiana again. In addition, we use their Creole Red beans and they are amazing!.
The products from Blue Runner were exactly what I expected. Having grown up in New Orleans, I have enjoyed their line of food products for many This piece of home arrived at my doorstep with great fanfare. The situation could not have been worse. I appreciate it! I opened the package and found that the gumbo base had been sent in error. The seafood base I ordered was actually a creole base as per the invoice. There is no same product here and I'm a bit disappointed since I'm stuck with something I didn't order and have no Not happy at all. Regardless, I still like the line of products, though I'm disappointed I got whatever instead of the one I wanted. How I ordered my food.
My favorite part of the gumbo is the seafood. In the past, I've used it quite a bit. There are now 4 severely damaged cans out of the 6 pictured here. I found the box to be in good condition. It is not possible to return the cans. It's a waste of money and is not worth the price.
The Blue Runner is the perfect solution for visitors who love great Gumbo but do not like making roux. The base of your Gumbo is Blue Runner, and your meat (shrimp, sausage or chicken) and vegetables are added. Using Blue Runner is the only way to make a good Gumbo. A staple in our pantry, we can't live without it.
