There is no longer any similarity between this product and the one it used to be! Still, the situation is fine- I like it. [Edited on March 4, 2021]This gravy is OK to Good, but is not the same gravy that previously had an 86%+ 5-star rating I gave it a five-star rating. In the chicken broth, there is now less On the front label is incorrectly written "Stock") (and Dried Chicken) that It was the largest component of the old version of the recipe (or likely at least equivalent to each of the next three starches) Chicken with chickstock. I do not think the new version is quite as tasty (and thick) as the old version, and hence it does not merit the 5-star rating Based on the review of the original product in March of 2014, it received a four-star rating. In the meantime, here is what I'm going to do today In the past, I have used the four-ingredient chicken gravy mix, but now I am looking for the 5-ingredient mix It was replaced by a star. The flavor of this chicken gravy used to stand out among a crowd of other mixes, but now it seems to have become a me-too product It's been too long since they've had a chicken gravy mix recipe. A sad day.

Best chicken gravy alternative. In my opinion, it is not quite as good as the real thing. Still, 4 stars was about what I would give it. However, I really think it's hard to imagine the real thing being beaten by a powdered gravy mix. as far as powdered mixes go, it is the best I have found. As a result, I cannot give it less than The last time I saw this, it was in my local Central Market grocery store. Recently, however, they have stopped carrying it (although the Better than Gravy Beef Gravy Mix is still available). In addition to this, Better Than Gravy also produces an organic version, but I prefer the taste and color of this version. While water works well on its own, I mostly used Swanson Unsalted Cooking Stock (not the broth) when I made this gravy to add a bit You're supposed to make this at home on a stove, according to the recipe. But I used a pyrex measuring cup and put it in the microwave and it took about three minutes In total, we spent 4 minutes. Frequent stirring is necessary (once after about one minute, then again about every 30 seconds or when the top of the liquid boils).
That it's only valid until 2016 is great news to me! In my experience, no envelope has ever produced a better gravy than this. I found it to be very As a substitute for the water, I use Swanson Unsalted Chicken Stock and sprinkle some freshly ground pepper on top. In addition to some tasty Chicken and Noodle recipes, there is one on the back of the book. My fiddling with it is always on, so I add a bit more of this, or not that, and it's still functional. I haven't tried this yet, but perhaps I will do so. Each packet makes one cup of gravy, so if you need to make more gravy, make more packets at the same time. It does not matter how many cups of water/stock you have in your pan. Two and a half cups stock and three envelopes of mix will be needed to make 2 1/2 cups gravy. As is, the flavor is great, but I am always looking for ways to experiment!.
A perfect substitute for the real deal. Featuring the best, most rich, tastiest taste and close to 98% of the real deal, it is by far the best I've ever had. The water I use is a bit less than the recipe calls for (decrease the water to your preferred level to I like how thick it is, and how flavorful and not salty it is. Whenever I need a meal, I have "Better Than Broth" on hand. In the next batch of Chicken and Noodles, or Chicken Pot Pie, I'll use the sauce as a sauce base. The homemade soup even tastes just like Cream of Chicken. I love it.
There is no longer any dealer in our area that sells it. The commissary has it from time to time. have to have some around the house at all times.
It is better than most other gravy mixes on the market and though the price is a lot, I still think it is a good deal. It costs about $2, which isn't a lot.
To date, I haven't experimented with it in stews or similar recipes, which was the reason I purchased it. This is the best than a bouillon product I've ever used!.
