There were several spices that I needed to order that I didn't get every month, I needed specific ones that were fresh and larger, and basil was one of them. When I found this brand with a good reputation, and at a fairly good price, I decided to give it a try and I was very pleased I enjoyed the packaging because I can reseal and reuse what I don't need to make my special mix immediately. The leaves were fresh and I loved the fragrant aroma of the basil as if it were grown right there on the farm. My special mix tasted great, I was told, and I do believe it came out better than ever before. I prepared a variety of dishes using the mixture and I believe they were all delicious. All my spices and herbs had run out or were just hard to find. I had to order all new spices and herbs. Fresh spices really make a difference to the final taste. I like the larger size bag as it seals back up airtight and the cost was reasonable. This brand will provide me with all the spices I need when I need them. While I got Happy Belly, and those were great too, this Basil was fresh and flavorful.

There are economic benefits to using Spice Way spices As I no longer shop in stores during quarantine for COVID, I am limited to purchasing spices that are packed, fresh, and no longer available. I can't wait to use it in other dishes since the basil is so fresh and flavorful.
I appreciate that this basil (along with the caraway and fennel I ordered earlier) is so fresh that the scent lingers even after I have used it. The fennel is especially delicious. I like it!.

In place of fresh basil, we used this in Thai Red Curry Chicken - I'm pleased with the way it turned out.
