When I realized how much better this brand is than even my not-so-old spices, I replaced them all. I adore this organic line; it's well worth the extra money because they're bursting with fresh flavor and aroma and make a significant difference in the outcome of all your cooking endeavors. McCormick Organic spices are highly recommended!.
It only takes a little to make a big difference. When used sparingly, sage is a wonderful herb. It's a hot spice that goes well with chicken and beef. Though I haven't tried it, I believe it would be a good match for pork. Butternut squash and butter complement it nicely. This particular sage is good quality, though perhaps not the highest gourmet quality, but certainly better than some of the off brands I've tried, and it's also delicious in very small quantities in spaghetti sauce and soups. McCormick spices have always made me feel confident that they are fresh and flavorful. This is the sage I use when I run out of the sage I've dried from my garden.
I enjoy cooking, and this is one of my "go to" spices when making turkey sausage dishes. It enhances the flavor of the dish significantly. This spice is no exception to McCormick's reputation for producing high-quality spices. It's always delicious, fresh, and simple to use. I strongly advise anyone who enjoys sage to try this product. You're not going to be let down.
All of our spices have been updated. All of our spices were past their expiration date. As a result, new ones were substituted for each one. So, if my name appears on a spice list, don't be alarmed. Yes, I ordered all of the spices listed above to replace my old one.
The quality is excellent, it's organic, and sage is expensive, but it's much less so on Amazon. I'd make another purchase.
I couldn't use this spice because I didn't realize it was made in a facility that might have processed peanuts when I bought it. My family includes someone who is allergic to peanuts. As a result, I didn't use this Rosemary spice because I didn't want to risk becoming allergic to it.
There is no taste or smell, and there is no side on the top to sprinkle a small amount. I was extremely disappointed in this product, especially because it was a name brand; it was completely useless, and I had to get a refund and discard it!.
I'm used to "rubbed" sage, but this has a finer texture.
