I'm not sure because I'm not familiar with the smudge stick manufacturing process. There's a lot of sage, but it's in a variety of shapes and sizes, and it's dry, so tying it together tightly would cause it to fall apart. Smudge sticks, I believe, should be slightly damp before being tied up and dried while in the bundle.

It's great, it's fresh, it smells great, and it's packaged beautifully. This is the second time I've ordered sage from this company, and I'm very pleased with it.

That's no longer the case. This is a fantastic deal for me because I burn frequently. This is a large quantity of fresh produce. You've secured my loyalty for the rest of my life. Thank you very much.
Yes, it comes in a box with no instructions, but so what? It's because of this that there are only a few crushed bits. The shipping price is unbeatable for this exceptional quality (cheap sage usually arrives in bits and pieces, dusty, and unsatisfactory in general). There are steams (but, you know, I was expecting CLUSTERS). LOL) but the leaves are glued on, so you'll have to pull a little to get them off (if you've ever made homemade sage wands, you'll understand what I mean, where some clusters other brands only look at them and fall off, indicating OLD sage)br>I'm overjoyed! STRONGLY suggested.
I hate to be the one to leave a one-star review, but I'm going to do it anyway. When it arrived, I was ecstatic because there was such a large quantity, and it looked and smelled fantastic. The issue I had was that it was extremely dry. This is the fastest sage I've ever seen burn, and I mean FAST. It didn't make a difference if I put it in gallon zip bags, sprayed water in the bags, and sealed them overnight. I spent the entire time I was smudging just lighting and adding to the pot because the water was completely gone, but the sage still burned up and stopped smoking incredibly quickly, much faster than any other California white sage I've burned. I'm at a loss for words. I like to smudge with sage, but I also enjoy burning it. I can't meditate with this because my pile has turned to ash in under two minutes and there is no smoke.
Excellent craftsmanship. It smells wonderful and has large chunks that I use to make small smudge sticks for my Beautiful Souls boxes. I'm going to buy more.
I bought 1 pound in September, and it was perfect at the time; however, 5 months later, it is no longer perfect! br>br>The first box arrived in pristine condition! This time it smells stale, almost rancid, and some of the pieces are moldy. There aren't any large, beautiful chunks this time; instead, it's mostly small clusters and broken bits. There are a lot of stems and space in the box; my first one was jam-packed! I'm not sure if I got a bad box or not, but I don't think I should burn this. It's not like this at all.
Long-term - Sage that has been carefully sourced and is delightfully fragrant. I could smell it before I even opened the box, so I knew it was really fresh! The packaging was a complete disaster, which is why I deducted a star from the overall rating. br>br>Perhaps my package was an outlier, but the box was clearly not well packed or sealed. I should've taken it out onto my balcony and opened it there. I ended up with sage clumps and dust all over my kitchen floor. The sage, on the other hand, is magnificent. It smokes well, cleans my house, and has a lovely scent that lingers afterward. In addition to smudging, I plan to bring a few leaves with me on hikes in the woods to leave as gifts to animal and other nature totems.
It has a different smell and has no effect on me because I frequently burn white sage smudge sticks and am familiar with the smell and appearance of the sage. I burn sage to purify my home and for health reasons; after burning it, I notice a difference. This sage doesn't smell as good, and I don't get the same sense of relief as I do when I burn it. I was very dissatisfied, and I seriously doubt that this is Salvia Apiana. This is the last time I'll buy this item; I'm pretty sure it's not the right kind of sage because it's not labeled correctly. This is not a product I would recommend to anyone who is trying to clean their house.
I'm angry at myself for making this mistake again, and I'm even more angry that they're offering it to me. I was hoping for a bag of sage leaves that was tightly sealed. Wrong! When I opened the box, a large amount of sage that had been crushed during shipping spilled out! This was a whole box of sage that couldn't be contained in any way. I opened the box expecting sage in a bag like the last time I bought it, but instead I have sage all over my bed. AND this isn't a box of sage leaves with a few stems thrown in for good measure; instead, it's a box of stems with leaves attached. The other type, which comes in a bag, has a few stems but is primarily made up of leaves. The fact that the leaves are the same price as this mess is fantastic. br>All right, I'm done with this rant and am going to package this sham and return it! Simply put, DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT!.
