It's amazing how much a little can go a long way. We use it for indoor cooking, the grill, and outdoor firepits. br>I believe this bag will last a long time, and I appreciate the fact that it is both organic and non-toxic. It has also been irradiated. br>I'll buy it again in a heartbeat. Frontier herbs have never caused me any problems. I've been buying their products for decades, and they're always of high quality.
Because rubbed sage is so hard to come by where I live, I was overjoyed to discover a bulk organic version. Excellent flavor and quality for pork and poultry, as well as savory soups and stews. This product is fantastic!.
This is NOT the light, fluffy rubbed sage I've purchased from Whole Foods' bulk section over the years. Instead, it has a texture similar to that of ground black pepper. There's also a strong minty flavor to this. I don't think it'll work in my Bell and Evans fresh organic chicken livers, for example. I've purchased over 20 herbs and spices from Frontier, and this is the first time I've been disappointed with the texture and flavor.
During the holidays, I always have to make a special trip to the market to get sage because I use it so much in the dressing, breakfast sausage, hot head's cheese, and other savory holiday dishes. Frontier, on the other hand, took care of that for me, lol. I took some of the spice out of the bag and put the rest in a ziplock bag, using an empty spice jar. I put it in the freezer and it should keep for a long time. It's a wise investment because those small jars of organic spices can add up quickly if you have to replace them frequently.
One of the best aspects of op's quality control is that they consistently produce high-quality products. When in doubt, I prefer Frontier products to those offered by other companies.
If you're a frequent user, the prices are unbeatable - I am one of those people. I only purchase the organic three-packs. Alternatively, you can use bulk bags from the frontier. It's important to note that this is rubbed sage, which is made by rubbing the sage between your fingers or through a machine. This intensifies the flavor and makes it more noticeable in dishes. This sage is far superior to other sage varieties in terms of quality.
We had a nice glass canister to store it in that we kept out of the light in the pantry, and it was very aromatic when you opened the bag. Because we make our own sage sausage, we've already used a lot of it. a delicious taste It's a large bag, but if you're making sausage or a lot of baked squash, it'll be gone quickly. We'd buy it again in a heartbeat.
It's a lot cheaper than the packaged stuff.
