Saffron is defined by ISO 3632, an international standard. Pure saffron is the only material that meets this requirement. br>I'm wary of "Spanish" saffron for the following reasons: Spain imports the most saffron in the world. br>Even though Spain only produces 800 kilograms per year, it exports 20 kilograms. Only 25,000 Kg to the United States!
I looked at the label and couldn't find the words I was looking for.
After opening, there is no need to refrigerate the product. All you have to do is keep it in a cool, dark place (like a food pantry or a drawer). Enjoy!
You won't need much to infuse your tea with this saffron because it's a high-quality variety.

The weight of this 3 gram container is only 2. 5/2. 6 grams. I can only guess at the quality of what's in the bottle because I'm cheating on the measure (the easiest part to keep true to).
The actual content won't even come close to covering the bottom. Second, and most importantly, I purchased this grade 1 item with the intention of comparing it to a different, less expensive item I was receiving at the same time, as well as to the expensive one I brought from Spain myself. This was nearly identical in color, smell, and taste to the cheaper one I purchased on Amazon, but it was nothing like the one I purchased in Spain. It smelled moldy and tasted moldy, not flowery and bright like it should have been. I requested a refund from Amazon, and they gladly granted it.
I had been using Persian saffron for a while and after seeing the price and reading the reviews, I decided to try this Spanish saffron. It's not bad at all. It is unquestionably strong. It's easy to go too far. However, I find the flavor to be a little harsh and almost metallic. Persian saffron has a more floral and subtle flavor. At least, that is how it appears to me. But, don't get me wrong: this is excellent value for money.
Because my grandparents were from Spain, I grew up eating a lot of Spanish food. My grandmother always advised me to use only Spanish saffron, particularly from the region of La Mancha. I had a difficult time finding saffron in the South until I discovered this brand on Amazon. I'm on my second bottle, and I'm really enjoying it.

I bought this saffron because of the good reviews and the low price, but I'm not a saffron expert, so I'm not sure how much I know about bad vs. good saffron. good. I can only compare this product to a few threads of saffron I had left over from a grocery store purchase. There is a significant difference! (Now I'm not sure what the grocery store stuff I bought smells like; it's nothing like it). I believe Kiva saffron is a high-quality product because it smells fresh and a little goes a long way in terms of flavor. On two separate occasions, I prepared mussels in a saffron white wine sauce using this product. The only difference was the amount of saffron I used each time (the rest of the ingredients remained the same). The second batch (with Kiva saffron) was much more flavorful, but I think I added a little more than I should have because it had a stronger flavor than the first batch (with grocery store saffron). This jar should last me a long time because 3 grams is a lot, and I'll definitely buy it again.
Value is the only criterion I use. Is the product worth the money? The answer is without a doubt YES. I've been using this saffron to make a low-purine Paella for my gout patients. Meals that have been ridden- Customers who use Wheels When I switched to this brand, they immediately noticed a richer flavor in the dish, and I have to agree. Close examination shows it to be nearly 100% styles in respect to the product in respect to the product in respect to the product in respect to the product The stigmas in lower-quality products have a weaker flavor. br>br>This product has been a big hit in my kitchens.
I'm not much of a cook, but after reading about Saffron's health benefits, I decided to try incorporating it into my ever-changing diet. I did my research, as I do with everything, and this one appeared to be a good deal. I can tell you that this stuff has a lot of punch. I add a tiny pinch to my hot tea or coffee, and it adds a nice twist of flavor. I don't use sugar, but I do use half as much splenda as I used to. I'm using it because of the health benefits I read about it, not because of anything I'm cooking. This is my kind of thing.
