I'm not sure I've ever tried it or even heard of it? Squirrels will be kept out of your bird feeder if you put mixed cayenne pepper in it. Because birds lack taste buds, it will have no effect on them; however, it will irritate squirrels.

Safron can be used in rice dishes such as paella, risotto, and soups and stews from Spain. In the dish I'm making, I only use 3 to 4 strands. Not in excess. I hope this has been of assistance.

I was dubious about the shape's flatness and symmetry, but the saffron water tasted and smelled fine to me. br>br>However, there was something I couldn't place, so I examined a strand under a microscope. I've attached some photos. The appearance of real saffron in the photos is consistent from strand to strand, but it's been adulterated with potassium nitrate or another food-safe salt to artificially increase its weight. br>br>This is the oldest saffron trick ever. You should be ashamed of yourself, Seller. And shame on anyone who goes to the trouble of growing real saffron and then spraying it with who knows what to make more money.
It has a flavor similar to that of melted plastic. Alternatively, it could be a result of overheating electronics. The UPS driver was kind enough to flop the package where a rain spout was splashing all over it, but the contents were dry. br>br>The tin appears to be a suitable container for keeping the goods fresh. At the very least, the top of the tin unscrews rather than clips on, so it'll keep it out of direct sunlight. While it may not appear to be much, having a container with a snap-on lid makes it very easy to drop threads when opening. The good stuff is found inside the tin. br>br> I was blown away by what I received! br>br>Of course, there was some dust in the bottom, but not a lot. The threads themselves were pleasant and aromatic, with little color variation. br>br>I took three of the threads out and soaked them in some water to see what would happen. The water remained clear, but it began to turn a yellowish color. amber- Even after about 10 minutes, there was no cloudiness and the color was exactly what you'd expect. There are no small bits of unidentified plant matter or strange clear things floating around like in a grocery store, so as far as I can tell, this is top-notch merchandise and I have no regrets. br>br>I took a sip of the water just to see, and it tasted exactly like water from a summer garden hose, which is how you'd expect saffron to taste. br>br>I don't think you can go wrong buying here!.
Bitter to a fault. It's revolting! br>Saffron is supposed to have a sweet, floral flavor, but this saffron is bitter! This is something you should avoid!.

"As a business point of view, that's bound to happen from time to time with mass-produced items," they apologized for my bad experience with this product. " They said they'd send a $20 Amazon gift card in four days. " After five days, the review will be removed. I declined, but stated that I would credit the offer to their customer service department. br>br> I'm lucky enough to live near a large international farmer's market, where I've always purchased saffron. All of my shopping is being done online. I was impressed by the size and uniformity of the threads, as well as their dark red color, when I saw them on the line and decided to try this brand. I'm used to thinner threads that are orange in color and come in a variety of sizes. Taste, on the other hand, is everything, and this brand is nothing like what I've been buying for years. Using twice as much as usual does not produce the same level of flavor intensity as my previous brand. br>br>Won't buy this again.
Stop the seller from bombarding you with requests to leave a review. It's fine to make one or two requests, but not five, six, or seven.
Color that is true to nature! You'll notice how aromatic this Golden saffron is as soon as you open the bag in which it arrived. br>br>It begins to dissolve slowly and turns a light yellow color before turning orange. br>Saffron is widely used in cooking and as a milk flavoring. Saffron is excellent. I will definitely buy this again, and I highly recommend it. br>I'll post pictures of Biryani as soon as I get them. br>Observe the color of the milk as well as the sweetness in the photo.
Despite the fact that I overcooked the rice (which I will do better next time), the flavor and aroma of the paella made me feel like a pro Lol. Having a high-quality saffron, such as this one, makes a huge difference and is well worth the money.
