How Our Score Is Calculated

Product Description

A small tree in the Far East bears the unusual fruit known as star anise
Its skin is rugged and rust-colored, and it measures just over 3 cm (1 inch, 1 1/4 inches).
Whole stars are available, as well as powder forms ground into the red-brown shade
We pick the fruit before it can ripen, and then we dry it
As a consequence, it is dangerous and should not be eaten

Questions & Answers

Can I tell whether this is 100% Chinese star anise? It is impossible to tell the difference between Japanese (toxic) and Chinese star anise when the dried powders are compared. ?

The Chinese language. The non- It is poisonous.

There are words like "highly toxic" and "not edible" in the description of this spice?

You can find out what they mean when you read it again. Seeds, not fruit, are what you are looking at. That is just stupid of them to include it at all.

The number of anise stars in each package is about how many?

There are 5 inches wide by 8 inches tall by about 2 inches thick on the package. There are whole anise stars along with pieces that have broken off, and the pieces are packed tightly together. The contents of the bag, without dumping them all out and counting, are likely to be somewhere between 50 and 100 It has 75 whole unbroken stars, a lot of half stars, and a few bits and pieces broken off. As compared to what is found in grocery stores, it seemed like a large amount of anise for the price. This might be of use to you.

Can you tell me what the ingredients are? Is sulfate included in the formula?

As an ingredient, sulfur dioxide appears on the bag I received. It was "Lucky" brand that I received when I ordered from this listing. There is a label next to the ingredients (star anise, sulphur dioxide) that says "This product is NOT a snack.". Consumption is not recommended until it has been cleaned and thoroughly cooked. It's a little hard to get it clean." I wonder how you do

Almost all of it is broken into pieces and does not look like the picture

Wow, that's a lot of In conjunction with the star anise, I thought that it would be better than the star anise that I buy frequently in the I received the package in a clear plastic bag, where I was given no information. Despite the fact that the manufacturer, date of manufacture, ingredients, and country of origin are not disclosed.

I would not recommend it! There is a label on this product that contains a California law product warning, indicating that "this product is known to the State of California to cause cancer, birth defects, or other reproductive harm

It's important to pay attention to the price you pay

I'm excited to make pho this weekend, so I ordered these to get me started. Having received the package with the contents open, I will not be using them and will return them. In terms of the heat seal, it did not look corrupted, rather it did not stand up to the heat. This is an extremely disappointing experience. It appears as if about half or more of the seeds had already been dried before picking and drying them, since they are so small. A refund was issued to me by Amazon.

In grocery stores it is difficult to find
5/5

Neither my grocery store nor I seem to be able to find whole star anise. The sauce is what I use in my teriyaki. It all began when I made teriyaki chicken to take to a BBQ with friends and since then there has always been demand for it. You can start with one or two pieces of star anise and add more if it is too bland. Start with a small amount and see if it suits your palate.

I am satisfied with the overall outcome

Several of the star anise were broken, and I had to grind up the ones that were whole to make tea (delicious). I will probably shop elsewhere if I don't get a higher percentage of whole ones.

I cook skin masks at home and this is one of the products I use to make them. I do not buy a whole lot of skin masks, I make them myself. Skin should be smooth and clear after using this product. The product is fantastic!.

My favorite part of this is the music

The black tea leaf was originally purchased for a chai tea recipe, but I've had difficulty finding pure black tea in the area. Although I would buy it online, the price is higher and I drink too much tea so it would not be Instead, I buy Tazo or whatever kinds of tea I want to make chai tea with and add some spices to enhance the flavor. I can't decide if it is my taste buds or what but I must have a lot of flavor in things to taste them the same way other people do. I love the smell of this stuff and it does the job well. Some of them have also been ground in a pestle & mortar The seeds of the mortar, of course, are used in the cooking, while the outside is discarded.

I'm still trying it out, but it seems to be fairly versatile depending on what would be good to use it for.

It smells like mold, broken bricks, and nothing but mold! These come perforated in several places, have very little scent, are broken in tiny pieces and seem to be perforated multiple times- It is a bit moldy in the large chunks
