It is unlikely that orange zest was an ingredient in the dish. Although I haven't tried many pumpkin pie spices, this is the best one I've ever The flavor is still good after buying it over a year ago.

It was a sweeter flavor than spice, but was still flavorful

The pumpkin pie spice blend will work well in a fruit recipe, but is lacking in cardamon and allspice. While I realize all pumpkin pie spice recipes vary, I prefer a stronger cinnamon flavor. If that is what you prefer, you will love this spice mix. Adding more cardamom, allspice, and cloves to sauces will make the flavor taste better. There isn't much in this blend, but you will notice it due to its sweetness.
