Rather than being a flake, fleur de sel is more like a crystal. It is generally accepted that flakes of salt are thinner and longer than crystals, but crystals are rounder and smaller.

Chemicals of this type cause an allergic reaction for me since I am asthmatic. This product is not eligible for a return or refund, according to Amazon.
It's hard to choose between this salt and Le Saunier de Camargue fleur de sel, but I think I like this salt better. As for the appearance and texture, it is more rustic and with a larger grain. The mixture would also be great on popcorn buttered with butter and roasted vegetables.
It's just important to understand that these aren't meant to be put in water for boiling pasta. In some ways, it seems to serve more as.

When I don't get there early enough, the store I buy this at has a difficult time keeping it on the shelves. By midday, the store is out of it entirely. For a salt, that is quite an accomplishment!.
It has a great taste, and can be substituted for finishing salt.
