' A word to the wise - BEWARE! The product is different from what you get when you buy the smaller McCormick cans of black pepper. I agree that "table ground" might mean that, but it's not intuitive, and if anything made me think it WOULD be the same since I drink from smaller cans at the table (and I'd be more inclined to drink from them at Peppers with a finer grind and a less flavorful taste are available here. I couldn't agree more. My husband and I have been buying store brands for many years and grinding peppercorns when we need to add a bit of The problem can be solved with McCormick's. It is the same strength and quality as good peppercorns, which means quick and simple without a mess. The importance of small things cannot be overstated. I appreciate it.
I bought two different ones, and both of them are different by at least 1/2" in unopened containers. This is pepper, but is the price I paid for it?.
Wish I had made this dish with GROUND pepper instead of table ground Peppers can lodge in your hair, teeth, and ears, so if you're fine with that, then you can enjoy it. It is better to opt for the ground pepper instead if you are sensitive to big pepper flake sizes.
Because McCormick isn't to blame for my dislike of the product, I have to give it 5 stars. Table grind is a bit coarser than regular grind, and it's not what you're used to. You shouldn't use a regular pepper shaker for this, or you will shake it too much.
