The fact that this might be evidence of product tampering also makes me wonder.

The first thing I would like to say is that I enjoy and buy McCormick brand spices often. Despite that, I am disappointed with this purchase from Amazon. No lid was included on the top of the can for scattering or spooning, only a foil inner liner which had to be peeled back to reveal the powder. Due to its lack of a lid, and the peppers will lose their potency quickly, this can is hard to use. Unfortunately, I am disappointed.
