Having run out of cayenne pepper, I am deeply disgusted by the fact that it is not readily available anywhere at a reasonable price There are none even in the big blue W box stores. I have never seen cayenne at Aldi where I usually do my grocery shopping (and I don't even think they even sell As I was thinking about it, I thought, "Why not just check Amazon to see if they have it?". My first thought was that I wouldn't believe that for almost the same price, I was getting over twice as much product. Cayenne lasts for a long time in my house, but this bottle is the perfect size. I will definitely shop on Amazon again when I need.
Our squirrel kept climbing to eat it so I ordered it to mix in with bird seed as a feeder mix. The thought of the poor guys potentially getting it in their eyes made me change my mind. Rather than cook with it, use it for cooking. There is no price difference from what you would get in the store, and the taste is excellent. The spicy garlic shrimp I made with this were delicious.
The pepper flakes I used in a margarita were fantastic and I had to have some at I'll always add to my collection of hot and spicy condiments as long as my palate allows it. Despite how much I like this grind, I will also apply it to eggs, potatoes, pizza, etc. Corn is my favorite use because it has a mild flavor. Take some butter and wrap an apple ear in aluminum foil, toss it on the grill and be surprised by the results. While this works in a pinch, I am still searching for crushed flake version of this.
We're not in for any surprises. As described, it is exactly what I expected. Rather than actually preventing the squirrel from eating our berries in the garden, ours actually deters them from doing so. In addition to creating a barrier that lasts for a while (or at least after a few rains), it is otherwise harmless. In addition to cooking with it, it does not have any artificial flavors. Having this available without making a trip to the store makes life a bit easier.
Neither a good cook nor a good baker. This is the condiment used at the pizza shop across the street from me. On pizza, this stuff is incredible. Making pizza at home requires only the best ingredients. This product meets that requirement. To add some extra punch to wilted spinach, I sprinkle some of it on top. I'm in love with.
