To begin, I'll say that we eat quinoa about five times per week. As a gym- We are an active, health-conscious family who is conscious of what we consume. We recently relocated and lost our go-to source of information. to a nearby grocery store that carried and sold quinoa and other grains by the pound. When we found this 5 pound bag of quinoa for the price listed, we thought we'd struck gold. It wasn't quite as cheap as our previous grocer, but it was still significantly less expensive than the Costco bulk size; however, we knew something wasn't quite right when every other meal included a teeth-shattering crunch shortly after making the first batch. I dismissed it at first, assuming that it was a series of isolated incidents unrelated to the quinoa. After about a week, I was eating lunch when I heard the loudest crunch I'd ever heard, followed by immediate tooth pain. I reached into my mouth and discovered small stones among the quinoa. This is both unacceptable and dangerous, in my opinion. We've been eating quinoa for about 5 years and have never had this problem with any other brand, even though we wash, rinse, and cook it the same way every time. Buyer beware.
2 crunchies (likely small rocks) in 1/4 cup tastes great. br>I read a few reviews that said the same thing, but there were a lot of positive ones as well. br>I'm not sure if I was just unlucky or if other people enjoy crunchy rocks in their quinoa. br>Never, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, br>br>Recent changes: br>br> I've been washing it in a strainer and haven't had any further issues. br>I'm still not interested in purchasing it. br>br>Here's some more information: br>Because I eat clam soup frequently, I'm used to a small crunchy (i. e. sand). This is similar to the previous one, but it's a little worse. It's just as crunchy as the original, but it's a little bigger. br>br>This is what a friend who has been eating a lot of Quinoa for a long time recommends: br>ORGANIC WHITE QUINOA BY CEREAUSLY.
Quinoa (pronounced "keen-oa") is a type of grain that is grown in the United States. Many people consider wah to be a "super food. " "It's an ancient food that the Incas regarded as extremely valuable. It's mostly harvested in South America's Andes Mountains, mostly in Bolivia and Peru. It is now grown in the United States and Canada, but North American growers have yet to match the quality of South American quinoa. Peru is the origin of this particular quinoa. br>br>Quinoa is a seed that can be cooked like a whole grain and used in recipes. A gluten-free diet is followed by a large number of people. It can be used to replace wheat in a gluten-free diet, and it contains significantly more protein than grains, making it an excellent vegetarian option. It's also on the list of things to eat if you're on an alkaline diet because it's less acidic than grains. Quinoa has a very low glycemic index of 18, making it an excellent choice for hypoglycemics, diabetics, and people on a low-carb diet. To lose weight, you should follow a low-glycemic diet. br>br>The following is the nutritional breakdown of 1 cup of cooked quinoa:

To do so, combine the ingredients and use them to make baked goods instead of wheat flour. Quinoa can be cooked whole, using 2 cups of water per 1 cup of quinoa, bringing it to a boil, and then simmering for 15 minutes. When you see the word "ring," you should immediately think of the word "ring. " It's almost done when you see quinoa seeds sprouting in different shapes. It's a great pilaf, and it's also a great addition to a thick, hearty soup or a key ingredient in a veggie burger. You can also eat it as a breakfast porridge by adding blueberries or other fruit. br>br>I've bought a variety of organic quinoa brands over the years. This particular brand appears to be of high quality, with a delicious flavor. I would buy this brand again in a heartbeat.
I really liked the 5 pound option, but I agree with everyone else that you need to wash it several times before cooking.
I've noticed that I get tiny stones in my mouth on a fairly regular basis. They're quite small. However, if this continues, I will stop using it.
We buy this product every two months or so and are regular customers. Recently, one of my friends was discussing the expiration dates on online purchases, and while I wasn't particularly interested, I was expecting this package a week ago and was interested to see what my friends had to say. When I started looking around the package and didn't see any manufacturing or use-by dates, I was taken aback. Then, as I became more curious, I examined the date more closely and was surprised to discover that it had been erased in some way. I don't claim to be an expert, but as buyers, we want to know and have a right to know the use by date, especially as we move towards organic and green worlds, with most people opting for online and organic products. For me, this is a bit of a step back. So far, we've been pleased with the taste and quality. Quinoa, on the other hand, may not be as perishable as some other grains, but there are concerns about possible side effects if the product is expired.
Prior to placing my order, I had no idea how much five pounds of quinoa would cost - on a 6- month's subscription I'm giving away quinoa bags to my friends as a way to save money. Quinoa is a part of every meal for me. There's a lot of quinoa in this dish. br>br>However, it's very good. It has a quinoa flavor.
