Hormel Thick & Easy Instant Food Thickener, Nectar Consistency, 0.16 Ounce (Pack of 100)

The nurse in rehab has to give Mom thickened liquids to drink. In addition, she has been in rehab before where different brands were used. The kind that the rehab/nursing home uses is not one she likes. The Hormel Thickener does not seem to cause any problems for mom when she drinks thickened liquids (nectar thickness). Packets come one at a time. My own personal experience is that it is far superior to the rest (I also tried the other brands and they were both horribly sour and tasteless). Since she is on thickend liquids, I don't have to depend on what liquids rehab brings mom or if they forget she is on thickend A reliable and attractive alternative is now available to me! It is now possible for me to give her what liquids she wants because of Hormel Thickener, and hopefully she will become hydrated again.

Having these handy is so convenient to carry around in his diaper bag so he can mix juice, almond milk, or toddler formula when we are out or at home without having to carry around a few bulky cans with him! It appears that there is no underlying flavor or weird texture, as my picky eater drinks this without any problem, unlike other brands that we have tried previously. I will definitely order again as soon as possible!.

I really liked, however, the individual packets, as I had a trip coming up. I used several packets for each drink, so slightly larger packets would have been better. When you need to thicken liquids to drink, this is a product that doesn't affect the taste, at least with the drinks I used it for.

She was instructed not to eat the foods that had been sold to her but to use this to thicken all liquid meals before eating. The difference does not affect the taste. My wife has dysphagia, so she can only drink liquids of a nectar consistency. There is no difference in the taste of the drink because this works well.
